The Official Draft Thread is getting a bit long and the NFL draft is looming. So posting your Mocks here might help streamlining.

I'll start it off with a 4rd. mock:

37: R2P5, LB JARRAD DAVIS,FLORIDA
59: R2P27, EDGE JORDAN WILLIS,KANSAS STATE
69: R3P5, S EDDIE JACKSON,ALABAMA
91: R3P27, RB MARLON MACK,SOUTH FLORIDA
104: R3P40, CB FABIAN MOREAU,UCLA
132: R4P25, CB AHKELLO WITHERSPOON,COLORADO

TRADES
TRADE PARTNER:
LA RAMS
SENT: ROUND: 1 PICK: 27
RECEIVED: ROUND: 2 PICK: 5, ROUND: 3 PICK: 5

What is it with Jarrad Davis. He's a second round guy. Why reach more than a dozen picks for him? There is a chance he would last to #39 and there are other options, both before and after.

#27 Zach Cunningham, LB
#59 Carlos Watkins, DL
#91 Dorian Johnson, OL
#104 Marcus Maye, DB
#132 Kevin King, DB

Davis is exactly the type of guy this defense needs. He's a physical guy that is not afraid to do that dirty work and hit someone. He has problems being over aggressive but he has some athletic traits to work with as well.

Cunningham scares me, he looks the part. I don't want to call him soft, but he certaintly doesn't make tackling look like it comes easy to him. Aside from Berry and DJ there isn't a guy on the roster that brings pop or stops the piles from moving, Davis is a guy that brings this mentality.

Aside from Cunningham I really like your draft though.

That's exactly where I drafted him - 2nd. round. I guess you didn't read the whole post to understand there was a trade. I was able to get an extra 3rd. rd. DP by trading down. I hope Dorsey trades down too.
So, technically by trading down, KC gets 2 players for 1: Jarrad Davis and Eddie Jackson. That's the kind of "down the middle" defense KC needs. (Draft Harvey Langi in the 6th.rd. to play next to Davis or backup at ILB).
Chiefs get another bonus in that Jackson also plays CB. Now, can Sutton scheme/use the riches he'd have at his disposal with this draft? I doubt it, but it'll all be on him now.

I saw the trade and I said he would last that long. My question is why the fascination? Even at #39 Davis is no bargain.

That said, your post is rather confusing.

Cunningham is the smart, instinctive type we need. On talent he's probably top 20, but he dips a bit for the same reasons you give. If you find a Jack Lambert, point him out. Even Lambert had Jack Ham beside him.

Thanks about your comment. I thought it leaned too much defense, but that was the way the board went.

I love Conley...Mixon would be great value but....would Dorsey take another shot on a talented kid with DV issues?

My guess is someone with great need at RB will take a shot at Mixon. Chiefs have a big need, but is it great enough? I think KC might try in round 3 (round 2 might seem like a "reward" to Mixon by others).

Would depend on how the conversations went. Same as it did with Hill. Or even with Peters's personality questions.

Mixon is not good value. He's a maybe tolerate. I am also not sold on Conley that high. He looks second round to me. Maybe it's the OSU craze.

BTW Did anyone notice that Ohio State, Florida and Colorado all have two CB in the top dozen or so? Usually in such situations, one of the two is seriously overrated, if not both.

Have seen reports that Cook has issues with his shoulders. That may explain.

This may be a bit of a wish list, but most of the players have drifted lower rather than risen.

27 - Ryan Ramczyk
59 - Jarrad Davis
91 - Larry Ogunjobi
104 - Cameron Sutton
132 - Brad Ka'aya

We need a swing tackle fairly badly. In a year or two, Ramczyk can claim one spot or the other.
Davis is a beast, but stiff and not instinctive compared to Reuben Foster or Zach Cunningham.
Ogunjobi is probably a dream here. He is not sliding and may be rising. If not available, say Carlos Watkins.
Sutton is a nice true CB who is a tad short. In a deep class, maybe he lasts. Also consider Rasul Douglas to play FS.
Ka'aya is my preferred QB for our system. He could go anywhere from 3rd round to 6th.

Not sold on the Florida kids, haven't watched much on the Colorado tandem; but I love both OSU kids, Conley I think would fi nicely here as a #2
