If the Pats trade Jimmy G and for some odd reason I am now leaning more that they wont but if they do which seems more likely.

A. They go into the year with two QBs on the roster and do nothing?

B. Pick up a vet QB somewhere down the line?

C. Take a QB in the draft?

If they trade Jimmy G they will add a veteran to compete with Jacoby in camp. If they like what they see from Brissett, they roll with 2. If JB faceplants, they might consider carrying three

I would think Brissett would be the #2 with a low end veteran backup possibly brought to camp and likely a draft pick or priority undrafted FA

Kellen Clemens could be the guy. Cheap, can move, smart.

So looks like the Bears are giving a 3-year deal to Glennon, 14 million per. When will teams learn? Laughing

San Fran going the stop-gap option with Hoyer, which is understood.

Two teams out on Jimmy. There's still Cleveland, but we'll see. Looking more and more like he's staying.

I believe it's down to two teams. Hoyer contract is peanuts and all his money is based on incentives. However they now have some leverage if the price is to high.

Browns added another 2nd round pick yesterday in the Brock trade and reports saying they're gearing up for an offer for Jimmy. Schefter keeps doubling down saying we're not trading him.

Word is they plan to cut Brock and see if some other team picks him up if they do I think that reduces their cap hit. Thus more room for Jimmy or maybe Jimmy does end up in Houston as some suggested and I flat out said won't happen. Rolling Eyes

They have to pay the difference between 16M and the amount he gets on the open market, which probably would be about 8M I would guess.

It's reported that Houston is still interested in Garropolo. Although they don't have the picks like the Browns do but if they where to offer Clowney and their 1st do you turn it down? It's a bit far-fetched I know but in this scenario do you turn it down?

Clowney and 1st? No one would turn that down.

Imagine how scary our D would be with that? Especially if we keep butler.
