In Round 1 the Jets trade with Cleveland swapping (I'm not sure of the trade values so work with me here) number 6 with number 12, clevelands second and third rounders in this years draft.

The Jets work out a trade with the Rams for Trumaine Johnson sending Sheldon Richardson to the Rams even up.

Cleveland Drafts QB Trubinsky.

The Jets with the 12 pick draft Forrest Lamp G
2. pick 33....T.J. Watt OLB
3. pick 39 Sidney Jones CB
4. pick 65 D'onta Freeman RB
5 pick 70 Pat Elfllein C
6 pick 107 Jake Butt TE
7 Pick 150 Ryan Glasgow DT
8 Pick 191 Chad Kelly QB
9 Pick 224 Taywon Taylor WR

Note: Jets pick up 2 CB, 2 OL, pass rusher, RB, TE, NT, A QB with promise and baggage and a WR to compete.

Not sure how realistic or hated or loved, but i would be very happy with this draft.

With Winters and Carp on good money at guard why would we get one with the 12th overall pick?
Would make more sense to get someone in a more desired postion no?

Its all speculative anyway, but Lamp had a lights out (pardon the pun) combine and is considered a 1st round talent. Where you draft and who you draft is a crap shoot anyway.

You draft people, not according to value as in the slot 1-32 but according to talent and need.

The Jets OL is terrible, this kid will help to shore it up, than in round 3 pick up a true C.

Now you have addressed what otherwise would have been an issue going into the regular season.

You also pick up 2 CB who are starting calibre players.

An underrated RB who IMHO is the steal of the draft.

The Key is the extra picks, getting 2 high picks in rounds 2&3 are positives.

I like Lamp, but not for us.

OL is definitely a need, but there is no way that having a G play T will help us.

100% no to a G at 12.
There's no OT worth #12

Grab a RB, CB, S, OLB, WR, TE

Sorry but G is the last pick I'd make first round
