DJ Fluker has been released by the Chargers. I haven't seen him play much but I know he was their starting RT and can play G or T. Do you think he is a viable option for us at either RG or RT?

Boy that's a tough one there. I know that PFF hasn't graded him out very well and I also know that he is only 25 and a massive man and he has started every game he has played. San Diego has had very good success on the ground and maybe a fit for one teams style could be a bad fit for another. It will be interesting to see where he ends up. Could he help us maybe or maybe he can't.

I would bring him in as a versatile backup to compete for a starting spot, but I don't think that he has proven himself capable of being much else. He's not a guy that you sign and plug him into the lineup and don't worry about it.

He has started and played in 59 of 65 possible games. Given a different situation and a change in scenery maybe a different style like I posted earlier maybe he could become what he was supposed to be coming out. He is still very young at 25 and only 4 seasons. He could still have a very good career. He would be cheaper than Wagner and Reif but it is still a gamble. But you don't win sometimes if you don't gamble.

It is hard to say improvement or not because of system fit, personnel fit, position coaches, and overall morale. He very well could become a pro bowl caliber RT or Guard. Not saying he could but other players have begun their career's on the wrong end of good and switched teams and flourished. I hope that he has more in his future then he has shown so far. I have seen some of his tape and broke down his run blocking as opposed to his pass blocking and I have to say he is a very good run blocker and his size allows him to really push the defender back. Pass blocking he seems to lack the lateral quickness at his size and he tends to get a little to high at times when he is tired as many players do. I think that if you were to switch him to guard he would have a much better shot at flourishing. Do I want him as a starter on our team? Not sure but I don't think that he is washed up by any means. He would be an interesting option.
