Just read that the Seahawks are getting a warning for improper reporting of injuries. Just a warning.

Not saying they deserve more...but it seems like the league office goes soft on everyone else.

Not everyone. Just team's that are opponents of their darling New York teams. Mara threw a hissy fit and got the league to punish the Cowboys for a salary cap violation in an uncapped year.

I think the league really botched how they dealt with Spygate and Roger acting shady about it made all the owners feel ticked off. So he was under pressure for a big punishment. While on the Patriots end they feel like they fell on their sword for a minor infraction back then and now the league was trying to do worse for something even smaller that they had no direct evidence for.

That's what happens when an incompetent and reactionary lead talks a big game about being a sheriff and cleaning up the league then stilumbles upon a minor location of filming rule that nobody cared about and tried to make a scene about enforcing it then panics like a 1950's housewife seeing a mouse on the ground when he catches one of the team's not listening to him.

We just got caught in the cross hair.

Aaron Hernandez found dead in his jail cell. He apparently hanged himself. Despite all the horrible things he's been accused of I still was taken aback when I heard the news. Confused

Man Hernandez's life was one huge clusterfck.

Can't help but feel sad even though he's a POS. I remember loving watching him take end around routes or HBack snaps and how he was my favorite player on the team. His story couldn't have spiraled downwards any harder than it did...

He was probably taking end arounds in prison and just couldn't take them anymore...

I guess it's possible. Very odd timing, since he just won his appeal on two other murder charges.

Laughing

Funny line, but what a sad story. The tale of a wasted life. About all we can bring from this is the hope that maybe he will serve as a bad example that may keep some kids from being attracted to the "glamour" of the thug life.

Tbh it makes sense. Appeal gave him something to live for and a way to get out into the real world. Must've been a huge letdown to win and then you're just back in jail and nothings changed.

The Pats are getting an incredible amount of hype amongst the media, and amongst fans as well. They look like they'll have a great team, but the expectation does bother me. Given that a lot of people are throwing around "better than the 2007 team" kinda quotes, how does this level of expectation compare to the expectations for that team? Were they just as hyped?
