Hi guys,

I'm going to be compiling a list of the top 20 players in the NFL who appear poised for superstardom and I'm soliciting opinions from every fanbase to nominate a player from their team.

Please discuss the possible players to nominate here. Make a poll if you must.

I'll also need one or two of you to provide quotes explaining why you think this player is a future star in the league, and possibly some videos or gifs of highlights, if available.

A couple of rules for inclusion, however:

1. The player must be on his rookie contract.
2. The player must not have been selected to any Pro Bowls or received any other league awards.

Thanks for your help!

Well that should be easy. Any player selected in the last 3 years fits that category (except Brandon Cooks)

Just use Michael Thomas. Anyone knows this.

Or Delvin Breaux if he qualifies.

I'd have to say Sheldon Rankins...

4 sacks as a rookie after missing the first half of the season with a broken fibula! Then those sacks don't tell the whole story of just how disruptive he was down the stretch.

He'll be a nightmare in year 2!

Right!! Perhaps we won't have the Brees contract when it comes time to re-sign Rankins after his rookie contract. It would be great to have a guy like this for 10 years or better.

Michael Thomas is #3 on my list.

Starless, you have obviously put a lot of work into this. Bravo!! And standing - O so far. I love the highlights you've pulled, you must have hours committed here.

Keep it up, very impressive.

The lack of David Onyemata in this thread is disturbing.

Eh, not when you have Thomas and Rankins both looking like pro bowl players.

Just thought we'd have more than two players that would fit the description posted above. Plus Onyemata is criminally underrated.

I just don't think he's in the discussion with Thomas or Rankins. He went from mid-round flyer and project to solid rotational player. His potential is just as big as Thomas or Rankins but he hasn't tapped into nearly as much of it yet.
