New exercise:

Pick 3 players for the #22 pick:
1. Your long shot if he falls like last year
2. Realistic pick you'd be happy with
3. A pick that some have a slotted for the Dolphins but you wouldn't be happy with.

For me:
Reach: Jabrill Peppers
Real: David Njoku
Rooting against: Cam Robinson

Reach: Reuben Foster (someone get to making a bong video, stat!)
Real: Derek Barnett
Rooting against: Charles Harris or any realistic offensive player not named O.J Howard or David Njoku

I would have obviously put Myles Garrett as the Reach, but even a bong video wouldn't allow him to slide to 22. Foster is generally viewed to be in the 8-12 range, so something could cause him to unexpectedly drop to 22.

Reach: Malik Hooker (injury)
Real: Zach Cunningham
Rooting against: David Njoku

"Reach" may be not the right term to use. That means you're taking someone of worse value than where you're picking.

Ya it was a little confusing to me for a minute or two because "reach" typically means drafting a player too early based off of a team need.

Changed it.

Long shot - Peppers
Real - Cunningham
Rooting against - ANY TE

Dolphins need Defense. A TE in the first round would be Fireland like. Dolphins made the playoffs without a great TE. Julius Thomas wasn't a first rounder for the Broncos. He was developed into the system.

Draft a TE in the 5th or 6th and/or develop Duarte.

Really hoping Cunningham is the pick and we can slide Kiko outside.

Peppers is just a football player. 100 mph all the time. Tackling machine. Can play OLB and SS in certain sets. I actually like his size cause he is tough to see amongst the big boys. He is also a backup plan for KR if Grant keeps fumbling.

Of the 4-3 DE's most commonly projected to be drafted in round 1, I see Charlton as the guy with the lowest floor. When he is on he can dominate, but he has been really inconsistent........It could be really bad watching Charlton and Phillips playing next to each other on our DLine.
