Seahawks have signed former Vikings K Blair Walsh, per @FieldYates. Steve Hauschka is a free agent.

I didn't think they would let Hauschka walk. I guess it's an insurance policy for if he does.

Who said the Seahawks don't have class? Pay it forward.

Excellent move. He's already won them a playoff game before.

Unless Hauschka wants an absolutely unreasonable amount for a kicker, this is a truly terrible decision if it leads to them losing him. He's absolutely automatic and constantly drills important kicks that build a ton of momentum.

A few years ago, I would've loved this signing.

Then again, the Vikes don't let Blair walk a few years ago.

? move here. Hauschka's one of the top kickers in the game. Walsh not so much.

if Walsh could ever figure it out mentally and keep his confidence up, he'd be one of the best kickers in the league. it seems like it just takes one miss for him to breakdown.

I wouldn't get too excited over this move. If Seattle is ready to move on from Hauschka, I'd at least bring in a UDFA kicker to compete with The (continuously ongoing) Blair Walsh Project.

Not that the Seahawks have had much luck with the plethora of Vikings they've taken, for some reason I think this might work out.

I just keep thinking of how awful Mason Crosby was for that one stretch a few years ago, and how much of a freaking legend he is after the Cowboys game. Maybe Carroll will hook him up with some psychedelics and he'll cure whatever mental issues were holding him back. Zimmer doesn't seem like a psychedelics type guy.

I'm sure Blair is happy to be there. Has more fans in Seattle than he does here.

Seems like a brilliant move, If Mason Crosby can rebound from his mental issues of being attracted to the goalpost sidebars so can walsh.

Walsh was attracted more to the outside air far outside of the sidebars. That's a whole different level of attraction.
