I personally would run to the podium if he was still there at the 21st pick in the second round. Could be everything Ebrons not......

Very good athlete but I doubt they draft a tight end very high. They will likely add a tight end in free agency and potentially later in the draft.

If. The draft weren't so good and they ran 2tes and could be had in rd2 I'd be down..

I'd like it if the lions did run two tes myself. I think they are using ebron wrong

But like idog said they will probably go after one in fa. They not to expensive and also couple sleepers in this draft imo

I would flip a lid if they drafted a note TE in the first round.

But... he's suggesting the second round.

Same difference. No.

I don't like it. Honestly, Ebron is a pretty good player. If we can get someone in free agency that's a good blocker we can be set there. The team has far bigger needs.

I honestly think that Ebron is a better TE. I know most on here will chastise me for that but in most peoples eyes a good TE should put up Gronk numbers well that isint the case. Howard has only showed up a couple of times this year and last and the year before that. His athletic ability is there and the talent too but the consistent effort is not. I think if you are going to go receiving TE with upside then you have to go David Njoku out of Miami. The most upside I see within the TE class. He seems to remind me of a Vernon Davis/Jordan Reed type. Players who have tons of talent and play all out every snap. Believe it or not they are rare.

I want Jake Butt. And he will be there in a latter round now that he tore his ACL. Sure, he will likely spend his rookie season on IR. But, getting 1st round value out of a 4th or 5th round pick?

Who is this Matt Millen? You don't take a tight end in the draft when you have a great need at the d line or running back

Pass as well. I'd love if we ran some 3 TE sets but we have so many pressing needs and Ebron at the least is adequate at the position.

Focus on the lines and secondary. I'm sure we could add a decent receiving TE in FA if necessary. There are a few options out there.
