This would be the perfect situation for Josh McDaniels and Nick Caserio tbh. |

It's the right move. But back to back one-and-dones with HCs does reflect poorly on that organization. If I'm a HC, I'm telling them that I'm not interested in the job if Jed York is involved in football decisions. _________________

Surprised they gave him only one year. Wouldn't be surprised to see McDaniels and JG end up there now.
All in all, and object lesson in why firing a HC with a 49-22-1 record is a bad idea. _________________ Adopt-a-Pat

They should've never hired Chip. It's good to see both the Niners and Rams churning, because the Seahawks were getting some free lunches in that division. |

Yeah it looks bad. But if your having doubts about whether your HC is right for the team then it's time to go. Limit the damage and start over. _________________

Trade Jimmy for their first rounder.

He's done less with more talent than Tomsula did last year. If Tomsula was fireable after last year, Kelly certainly was after this disaster of a season. _________________

I don't think it's official yet per the ESPN article, although they said it could be as soon as post-game tomorrow. |

Why? Just honestly why? It's a terrible ownership situation combined with an awful roster. Most of the talent is gone. McDaniels taking that job would tell me he learned nothing from Belichick - he of the NYJ's napkin resignation. |

Yeah, the thread title is misleading. The actual report states that they are expected to make sweeping changes. Nothing has actually been done yet at this point in time. _________________

Won't argue the ownership angle, but I think the fact that they could come together, already have a "chemistry" working together, and can have a shared vision is not the worst thing in the world. They can do things the way that they want to do it, and given how often they are tied together, I assume that they share a lot of the same visions. _________________
