I would argue that it not even the 2016 draft that is a problem but every draft(outside the 2015 draft) this team has had since Keim and BA have taken over.

Going back to the 2013 draft how many of those players are starters on the team. Just two. Mathieu is a great player when he healthy but I just don't think he ever going to be able to hold up all year long going forward. Minter is a starter but Arizona should be looking to replace him. He just not fast enough for today NFL. How many role player did they get. 3 Maybe. Watford is a jack of all trades master of none. Sure he can play supposedly anywhere on the line but he just not very good when he plays. Do they even keep him after this year. Taylor plays special team and that what keep him on the team. Ellington looked to be a steal but after his injury he not been the same player. Arizona first round pick was a huge bust. Will Arizona even keep any of their role player from this draft once the season over? I forgot about Okafor who up and down in his play and could also be gone after the season ends.

2014 draft is not looking good either. Bucannon was drafted to be a safety but it did not workout for him there and now is a Starting ILB. Who is clearly to small to handle that spot year in and year out. Does Arizona move him back to saftey or keep trying to put him up aginst 300+ pound offinse lineman. Brown Arizona other starter out of the draft is far to small to every reach his full potential and is now facing health problem. Who are Arizona role player from this draft. Stinson and Martin. They are nothing to write home about about. Stinson is hurt all the time it seem and when he does play it not very good looking. Martin was a guy with all the talent in the world but the coaches could not get anything out of him. Sure that on Martin also but everyone new he was like this come out of college.

2015 is there only class that looking good to me at this point. All first 3 picks are starting. Johnson might be the best RB in the NFL if Arizona used him better. Golden is looking good. He might not ever be an elite player but he sure looks like a guy who will play 100% at all time and give you around 8 to 10 sacks a year. D.J. Humphries I thought was a reach and still think he was but he could develop into a good player who could hold down RT and maybe LT for 8+ years of good football.

2016 is just looking down right horrible as a draft.

Where all the role player and specail team guys at. Does not seem like we are getting very many out of the drafts the last few years.

Yes all the third day picks are not helping the team. We aren't signing good undrafted players either.

The Future Isn't Bright Reason Number Three: HC/Offensive Playcaller Bruce Arians

39-20-1 record, a division title and a Coach of the Year Award recipient is the third biggest reason as to why our future isn't bright? Get real stchamp98...right? Wrong. Bruce Arians had taken this team from "Outhouse to Penthouse" in the matter of 3 short seasons. NFC West Championship banner, 1 game away from the Super Bowl. That's amazing in its own right but the wind's of change slow for no man and now, in the midst of a nightmare-ish season, we're seeing the downside to the reign of "No risk it, no biscuit". Bruce Arians can be described in many ways by many words but "open minded" and "flexible" will never be two of them. Despite countless failures with the offensive scheme and situational playcalling that have continually bogged us down at extremely crucial points in must-win games, the adjustments have never come. With an offensive line ravaged by injury, a WR corps failing to provide any spark from any player not named "Larry" and one of the best, young running backs in the league today, the offense is currently on pace to throw the football nearly 71% of the time on 3rd down. As a result, a team that was 2nd in the National Football League in 3rd down conversions in 2015 has fallen 9 spots to 11th in 2016. Failing to move the ball as efficiently has dropped our points per game down a full 7 points (!!!) from 30.6 (2nd in the league in 2015) to 23 (15th in the league). Any other offensive mind would adjust around his personnel, especially when the defensive side of the ball is as solid as it is today. Bruce Arians will not. Not today, not tomorrow, not ever. Not only does this cause severe in-game issues, it causes severe talent acquisition issues. Bruce Arians only wants a Bruce Arians guy, which once upon a time cost Ken Whisenhunt his job. Countless young players have made little to no developmental progress under this regime, evidenced by the fact that only half of our 16 day 3 picks from 2013 to today inhabit the current roster, only 2 of which play significant offensive or defensive roles. Bruce preaches standards and accountability to anyone who will listen though apparently only the players are tasked with living up to them, as coaches routinely receive poor results from their players yet never are called out or replaced. With his age and healthy concerns, one wonders how long he'll be around to captain the ship, a troubling thought indeed from someone so influential in building this team and creating it's culture. If changes and adjustments aren't made soon, if Steve Keim can't nail the players Bruce Arians' stubborn mind demands, we may very well be in for a long, bumpy ride. Reason number three that the future isn't bright, HC/Offensive Playcaller Bruce Arians.
