Looks like it's analytical Knowledge Bomb Thursday today. Let us begin:

Arizona Cardinals Special Teams
Kick Return Average Rank: 28th
Kick Return Allowed Average Rank: 27th
Punt Return Average Rank: 28th
Punt Return Allowed Average Rank: 25th
Extra Point Percentage Rank: 24th
Field Goal Percentage Rank: 30th-31st
Net Punt Average Rank: 32nd
Coaches Held Responsible: 0

That's...huh. What's the word, embarassing? Yup, that's it. These numbers validate the often made claim that this unit is collectively the worst in the National Football League. Going about fixing it is not a simple thing, especially when your HC makes it clear that no change will be coming from the coaching staff. How/what do you guys propose we do to rectify this god awful situation?

Maybe spend a lot of draft capital towards fixing the problem? Hehe

Which we probably could do if our roster weren't so rough looking in so many other areas. We need this draft class (Many of whom will play positions that don't affect STs) to start contributing right away for a change. If that actually happens (Which remains to be seen), they're probably not going to be playing heavy STs roles. You're not gonna want a new WR playing 50 snaps on offense and returning kicks right? You're not gonna want a new CB to be playing 50 snaps on defense in a starting role and gunning on STs right? What about kicker, punter, long snapper? Do we try the UDFA route again, because that's the situation we're in now and it...isn't working. Do we have draft someone there? Really?

Im getting tired of Arians blasting certain players but doesnt hold himself and his staff accountable. The special teams has been bad for 4 yrs under Arians and Jones. This yr its cost us 4 or 5 games. They held on to Butler bc he is a good holder for Catanzaro which is a joke bc both guys should be gone. Keim and Bidwill better step in this offseason and fire Jones, and if Arians doesnt like it, he can hit the road as well. For as good as BA has been in the previous 3 yrs, he has been equally as bad this yr. He needs to stop making excuses and take responsibility

But Amos Jones is Arians friend and according to Arians he's a good coach. We need to trust in him, clearly it's not the staffs fault

*Be sure to read in a very sarcastic tone

I thought the Cardinals did that last year when they drafted 3 DBs who were unlikely to contribute on defense year one, or perhaps ever. I mean, Brandon Williams was the only one of the 3 who actually potentially possessed a skill-set to play our defensive scheme and that's why he is the only one on our roster of the 3. But why draft a 5'10 safety who can't cover or a 4.7 40 corner if not for special teams?
