Nacho, is it a bug or a built in mechanic that throws up these short kickoffs?? Like kickoffs reaching the opposition 25, but still being returned for 20+ yards?

I could see if you were trying to avoid the KRer, but would that not lead to minimal returns?

Just something I saw popping up in preseason and in the past as well as today.

I will look into this.

Week 1 in the books. 7 point win isn't dominating, but the game never felt in doubt, and the opponent was a strong Panthers team.

Need to work on some things though.

Derek Carr: 19/31 (61.29%, 99.13 Rating) for 262 yards, 1 touchdown, 0 interceptions.
Demaryius Thomas: 8 receptions for 101 yards (12.62 YPR, 22 LNG), 1 touchdown.

Carr continuing to be solid. Nothing overly spectacular, he produced on drives and helped clutch the win with a pass to Thomas down to the 2 yard line before kneeling out the clock. Seems like this duo has developed some real chemistry.

Jamaal Charles: 25 carries for 105 yards (4.20 YPC, 26 LNG), 1 touchdown, 1 fumble.
DeAngelo Williams: 11 carries for 102 yards (9.27 YPC, 18 LNG), 0 touchdowns.

Boy oh boy... a 100 yard receiver and two different 100 yard rushers? Just an impressive offensive output. Williams obviously went off, but as long as he can chip in 40-50 yards on 8-10 carries, we'll be happy. Charles wasn't spectacular but he provided when he needed to.

RJ Stats:
Yards: 464
Passing: 251, Avg: 7.61
Rushing: 213, Avg: 4.84
Rush %: 57.14%
Touchdown: 2 (Pass: 1, Rush: 1)
Field Goal: 4
3rd Down: 7/16 (43.75%)
Punts: 4

Overall was very pleased with how the offense performed. The only area for improvement is creating touchdowns instead of settling for field goals. Kicked 3 field goals inside the 30, including once inside the 10. But at least Steven Hauschka is proving to be a reliable option. And of course the final game sealing play from Carr to Thomas for a 21 yard gain would most likely have gone for a score had we not elected to simply kneel out the clock.

Sacks: 2
Interceptions: 1
Touchdown: 1 (Pass: 1, Rush: 0)
Field Goal: 2
3rd Down: 1/9 (11.11%)
Punts: 6

Defense only gave up 13 points overall, cannot complain about that (James Jones Punt return touchdown? Really?). Third down defense was beastly as well, and forced plenty of punts. Would like to see more sacks and impact plays overall, but I'll gladly trade those fancy stats for an all-around dominating showing like this one.

Long season ahead of us, but it's always nice to start off 1-0, especially against a tough division rival.

Congrats week 1 to Houston. Big Ben played a pretty flawless game

Really thought we had this, especially when we came back and tied it at 17-17. But we let it get away after a surprising miss from Justin Tucker. Played a little too aggressive on the offensive side of the ball with Tannehill shockingly not completing more than 50%.

Happy with the defense in all aspects, even with given up the 27 points. We created the right amount of turnovers, but Tannehill just didn't come through for us. I wish the league the best of luck when trying to run verse my front 7. It won't be pleasant for you

Good game khodder. Second half turnovers killed us. Sacks were nice but half the time didn't matter as you got the first down. The one turnover we made, Russell the Sim Gkd Wilson recovers a receiver fumble 25 yards down field. My punter kicks for 30 yards, yours goes for 64 lol.

The icing was a 65 aggressive offense, down by 6, punting the ball with 3:25 left.

Some positive things to take away, defensive line played well, but offense needs to limit the turnovers and our running game got locked down.

But man its annoying to get a 7 yqrd sack on first down... then give up a 5 yard gain and 15 to alllw a first down anyway.

Game was a good measure of what to expect this season. We should be able to compete most games.
