Right now? We absolutely consider it.

The sad part is if the Cowboys do decide to trade Claiborne, he will probably turn it around for the next team. He had a solid rookie year when he was able to play strictly man to man. I'm also surprised to see nobody mention the lack of a pass rush from the Dline, which improves the play of the entire secondary. Outside of George Selvie and Melton, this team will not have an effective pass rush this year.

But at this point, if Claiborne misses any substantial part of the season due to injury, I wouldnt be opposed to the Boys moving him for a 2nd.

You can have a defensive backfield comprised of Rod Woodson, Deion Sanders, Ed Reed, and Ronnie Lott and they'd still get torched and abused like children with our abysmal pass rush.

If you replaced Ronnie Lott with Lynn Scott, you could have a pass rush of Stephen Hawking, Miley Cyrus, Mini Me, and Joan Rivers and the defense would still be more dominant than the 85 Bears.

The Cowboys are not going to trade Morris Claiborne. Why? Because he has no trade value. Well, I guess that's not true. A truly desperate team might give us a 6th or 7th rounder for him. No way in hell we'd get a 2nd rounder like some have suggested. The guy can't stay healthy and hasn't been good when he was healthy. We all know that to be true and so do the other 31 teams. If Jerry or Stephen can con someone into giving us a 2nd rounder for Morris Claiborne, they should immediately be named NFL Executive of the Year, be enshrined in the HOF and be arrested for highway robbery.

Mo had his moments. Especially his rookie year. People forget he *almost* forced a few turn overs in his first couple games. He also had that stand out game against the skins were he was targeted like 8 times, but give up 1 catch for -8 yards or something ridic.

This is the first season, IIRC, that Mo has actually participated in an off season. Who knows? We might see a much better player.

That's not a stupid question. While I can't remember for sure, I don't think he does. You can always google the NFL CBA and find out.

Suspended players do not count against the 53. Neither do players on PUP. If the Cowboys put DeMarcus Lawrence on PUP, we technically only have to cut down to 55, because neither Lawrence or Scandrick will count. To activate anyone off the suspended or PUP list, you do have to make room for them on the 53.

Huh. Interesting.

I guess this means McClain's conditioning isn't where it needs to be just yet.

Lawrence will count against the 53, he can not go on the PUP. Reason is because he practiced during TC. If he attends a single practice during TC, under the CBA, a player can not be placed on the PUP.

It's a shame, too. Sucks to see a guy never get a chance due to injury.

What really sucks is that our defense sucks and we keep guys like Matt Johnson around.
