Honestly I don't see how this is a big surprise. The guy hasn't played a competitive meaningful football game in almost a year bc of injury. We over drafted him pretty much based on character. One of our worse draft picks in recent years. Hope he heals well, but didn't have high expectations for him before the injury and will have even less next year.

He's a good football player, which is why we spent a third round pick on him. He's obviously injury prone, which is a problem.

Really tough blow after seeing Patterson struggle. Milliner was injury prone coming out and he's always been nicked up. I think we need to avoid high picks who have been injured. Good chance McDougle never plays a full season with us.

Hopefully Reeves gets some PT now.

I like Reeves a lot, although I doubt he sees much action on the outside. I think he's a nickel corner that could replace Wilson next year. This injury could make him a lock to make the roster, if he wasn't one already.

Well at least Safety play should be good-great and the front seven should be phenomenal.

Walls is solid though, maybe Ras gets a shot too. Dixon is better suited for PS.

@DarrylSlater: Dexter McDougle was so excited to debut vs. Colts that he cried tears of joy before game. Torn ACL such a tough blow.

Bright side of things its pretty much an extra draft pick next year

He should be ready to go by camp

Sucks tho we all had high hopes for him

Then, it's one less pick this year.

Let's hope he's ready to go next season and can get himself ready to contribute by Week 1 of next season.

Still upset about this. McDougle had a great chance to prove himself this year. Now he'll have to wait until next year to do so.

Still bummed out about this. Would have loved to get him on the field this year.

Seems like the kind of kid who will bury himself in the playbook and his rehab, though. Nothing like get on field experience, hope he is recovering well.
