Pro tip - if divisional rivals are happy to see you hand out a contract, it's probably a bad idea.

Dalton has only 4 wins in his career against Baltimore and Pittsburgh.

Alot of money for 0 play-off wins. Reminds me of Romos contract. These QB contracts are getting out of control.

QB purgatory.

Dalton is a QB a team can win with, but in alot of ways he also holds them back.

But like him or not, you have a better chance of doing worse than him than doing better. Thats why I always laugh when people say "let him walk". They would be more likely to replace him with Blaine Gabbert than Andrew Luck. They really didnt have another option.

I am calling a 5 year 110 million deal for Ben. With 32 million guaranteed, 15.6 per season. For a low end.

For us, honestly, I love the deal. He's the 3rd best QB in the division and that MIGHT only be because Cleveland hasn't figured out how to properly draft one yet.

I love it because it keeps an exceedingly average QB in the division.

But at the same time I hate the amount of money being thrown at average QB's because we all know Ben will want to be the highest paid QB in the division as he is the most accomplished of the 4/5.
