That sucks. Abbrederis is an incredible route runner. If it doesn't cost him speed and cutting ability, I think he'll be an effective NFL WR.

He said he had an injury as a freshman in HS where he broke a bone in his leg and it pulled his ACL right off of the bone with it, gruesome injury but he came back stronger and faster. He will be IRd and given the full year of healing so I don't see it as a long-term problem.

As stated, this wont hurt the Packers much. If anything, it might help them a bit since they can pretty much redshirt him without having to possibly put him on the PS, where he wouldve gotten scooped up.

Nelson, Cobb, Boykin and Adams would take up most of the snaps, so unless there is an injury to one of them (which is very possible), its unlikely he wouldve gotten much playing time this year anyway.

Any news on Jeff Janis? I liked him and knew of some others that did as well. This might give him a better shot.

Sad about Abbrederis doe. Wasnt a big fan, but sucks when this happens to young players.

Janis has missed quite a bit of time because of shingles. Can we IR him for that? Laughing very interesting prospect though. The back end of the Packers WR corp is pretty competitive right now. The top 4 is pretty well set, there are 5 guys fighting for 1 or 2 spots and I'm not sure if keeping any one of them would be a surprise.

Ugh...shingles seems to be going around. Friend of mine had it, my aunt CURRENTLY has it, and Ive heard of several others having it lately as well.

But yeah...as I said, this isnt a big deal. Sucks for a young guy trying to get noticed, but wont affect the Packers at all really.

Can we tear up that Thompson extension? ANOTHER bust from this bum of a GM. What's next? We win the division again and don't win the SB?

Get this POS out of GB.

LOL. Green Bay has to have the largest group of homer and self-hating fans in the NFL. Their team forum has to be a party.

If you guys want to go ahead and waive him now before initial roster cuts that would be great. Twisted Evil I doubt anyone would claim him, so you should be ok doing it. Cool

This is exactly why I thought he'd go undrafted.

Because he'd suffer a complete random torn ACL? Confused

The only injury concerns he had are concussions. Laughing He's not injury prone like some think. No idea what a freak accident could lead people to believe.

I said this guy would be 2014's Ryan Swope. Well, it's not a concussion, so that's a bonus, but this injury isn't gonna help.
