Center Velasco if he's available. We didn't miss Pouncey one bit with him in there. He can play at center until Pouncey is ready to start and be a quality backup after.

And we didnt miss Velasco when Cody Wallace came in.

In fact, our running game got better.

Thats why they signed Wallace for 3 years.

Velasco wont be coming back unless there is another injury.

On top of that, not even sure if Velasco is medically cleared yet.

Also not sure if Velasco was like by Munchak, since he was released by munchak.

TE J. Finley is coming in for a visit.

I doubt a deal is done, but if it is, he would a solid 2, if healthy.

Steelers are one of the only teams that have cleared him. Finley's doc and the steeler's doc are one in the same.

I would love to sign him to a 1 or 2 year deal.

A lot of upside and little risk if he comes cheap and is cleared medically.

Dude..if we get Finley (assuming he clears medical) hells yea!!!

That's truly my opinion on that. I love Finley's talent and I hope he's able to play. I get the feeling the other teams he's visited have not wanted to sign him because I have to believe that New England, Seattle, & Green Bay (though Seattle simply withdrew interest) are more attractive locations.

Also, via the article on NFL.Com:

Quote:
Rapoport adds that the free agent has visited the Steelers' facility and has been cleared by their team doctor, who also doubles as Finley's doctor.

Of course....it's Rapaport that said it so...

Here's to hoping.

He states that once injuries start occurring the money will "shoot up". He also alludes to the Steelers being cheap (at least that's how I took it) saying "We all know the money ain't what it's supposed to be". The offer must have been less than 10 million. If that's his target, he may not be signed by anyone.....

Unless Finley's workout video includes scenes of him getting whacked in the head I would not offer him more than vet min with incentives.
