Sad I'm gonna miss the draft, but I'm excited to watch it on DVR next Sunday...

Here's to hoping we come out with some studs...

You going to try and avoid the results ?

I'm going to try...

I'm avoiding all media including text and calls...

Your going to my favorite place on the planet and I still wouldn't trade places with you. Its the only thing I look forward to watching the whole offseason and I would feel empty if it was occurring without me knowing what happened.

That said, have a damn good time. What island.. and don't say Kauai (my fav_.

Good luck man. It's been fun talking draft with you. Hope we have a great draft. I got to be honest, I'm nervous we will blow it. That's because I'm a downer. Also there is no way I could resist looking at my phone during the whole draft. It would drive me nuts knowing it's going down.

Yeah same here, I'm going to have enough problems having to wait to get done with work to watch it on my DVR, probably about an hour delay. that also sucks cuz I'd like to be on here with you all, but I'll need to catch up first. Just can't bring myself to fast forward through anything in the first round for fear of them announcing something about the Rams.

I took off work Thursday and Friday. To me draft weekend is my Christmas. I get together with my brother and our friend and nerd out all weekend.

I told the guys at work I'll be leaving a few minutes early Thursday and Friday. I only live a few minutes from the office so it won't be difficult. What time does the first team go on the clock? I know it says they start at 5pm pst but not sure when the picking actually is supposed to start.

I don't know how you guys can go to work on Friday and be productive. I know I couldn't be.

Oh in a 9 or 10 hour day I might put in a few hours of work. Plus as I said I live a few minutes from the office so lunch at home happens often on a Friday. I spend most of my Friday in a sports bar chain that I sell and setting up new accounts. It's a pretty easy life on Friday.

So who all is taking time off work for the draft? To me this weekend is my Christmas. It's so much fun, although yesterday I spent nearly $200 on food for 3 guys 3 days. That wasn't much fun.

I work until 7:00 ct on Thursday. I'll get out by 6:30 though, and if they don't let me, I'll just clock out at 6:45 and take the Tardy. I currently have 3 and I get 12, so no biggie. I requested off for Friday and Saturday, I always feel like I'm the only one in the world who requests off for day 3 of the draft lol

I tried watching it with my friend a few years ago....

"dude it's round 5, no one knows who these guys are...no one cares man"

Me thinking to myself..."You have no idea"

Haha thats so funny and so true, there are very few people who get it.

True Life: Im obsessed with the NFL draft. I dont sleep much these nights, every year it never fails-- once it reaches about 2 weeks away, I am diagnosed with insomnia.

I feel better now though seeing that Im not the only one with a scheduling conflict. We just started spring ball this week and dont get done until 6 (PST). Like most of you I will be turning off my phone and watching it DVRd as if it were live.

Luckily, my job doesn't start until the week after the draft. Very Happy

I wish I could. Really can't take a day off of work ever, as I'm the only one that can do what I do in my company. However, i can start butt early in the morning and get all of my known tasks done, but, I cannot start the whiskey until after 6pm PST, which will be after the Rams make their first pick.

Friday will be much the same thing, Saturdays are often pretty slow and I usually don't have more then an hour or 2 of work to finish up. I'll be watching until the last pick, that much is sure.
