Well as the person who correctly predicted our record last year, because I am a gosh darn genius.

I will say with confidence that I will make my predictions after the draft.

I think I've become a more realistic fan over the years, so it's hard for me to have blind optimism about any team. Don't mistake it for a lack of pride.

Without getting too much into the merits of letting Desean go, you're gonna have to replace his production somehow, that's a fact. He was the team's number receiver in receptions (almost two times as many as the next player), targets, yards, 20+ receptions, TDs, first downs, .... the list goes on and on. I'm sure whatever receiver we draft will be a great addition, but there's going to be a learning curve with every receiver. I'm more interested in how Cooper plays without Desean and if Maclin is the same player he was before. Again, trying to be realistic here.

If Wilson starts that game, I swear on my dog I'll give you $100 if the Eagles win.

Nothing I said was unrealistic, and it's certainly not blind optimism. I think cautiously optimistic is the better term.

Suggesting your team is going to be embarrassed before it has even drafted is not being "realistic" in my opinion, it's being overly pessimistic. I'm more of an Any Given Sunday kind of person, unless the team is truly awful, which the Eagles are not.

I also don't bet on my teams, I think it's bad mojo.

Regarding replacing Desean's stats, I'm sure everyone here is worried about that. But let's not forget, Sproles caught 71 passes last year. He is going to contribute. The WR we draft probably will too. Desean has not left an un-fillable void, and I honestly think we are going to have a more versatile and capable offense without him. I think a huge reason why Desean was let go is that Chip wants an offense that is capable of beating you in a lot of ways. While Desean really only did two things well. He has never been a true #1, he disappears against good corners and it really halted our offense. I'm excited to see who we replace him with.

Just because you are able to approach your favorite team with objective lenses (well, as objective as they can be) does not mean you "lack of pride" in any way, shape or form. I'd understand calling out posters if everyone was saying "there is no chance, we can't possibly win" then that's one thing, but simply thinking the Seahawks are the better team and will show it in our matchup does not mean you lack pride.

Yeah.....saying we're going to be embarrassed is basically saying we don't have a chance of winning.

My objective lenses work just as well as everyone else's, but you will never catch me having that kind of outlook before a game. But hey, I grew up with season tickets to the Vet, so maybe I take things more seriously than others. But there's a difference between being objective and being pessimistic, the latter of which relates to having a "lack of pride." Being objective is pointing out your team's flaws; being pessimistic is saying your team is going to lose. Why be a fan with the latter outlook?

I'll be living in the DC area by then so I'm definitely gonna try to go too.

Should commute from school to go to that one.

Agreed.

I was a part of the 10-6 crew last year. I'll also make my picks after the draft.

But I really don't see this team losing a single division game next year.

That's pretty horrible if it's actually true. How do you keep a job so long being that bad?

You blame it on the talent.

post draft bump. hows everyone feel about our wins/losses now?

I think that colts game is very winnable. they're pretty stacked at receiver so coud be a shoot-out there, but how good is their run game? richardson isnt good, we know that. i dont think theyve addressed the safety spot either, and really didnt draft any impact players(on paper) beside maybe moncrief. Plus no mathis. yeah yeah i know its luck in primetime but well find a way. henrey game winner as time expires Wink

we'll beat the texans too, come on guys, have some faith wouldya
