I wouldn't pass on him at #1 overall. But I do think Keim may pass on Teddy at 20. If the info coming out now is not smoke, Teddy may not be close to BPA for this team at 20.

Stop gap s correct

But definition of stopgap for this team might be 2 or 3 years, so we have ways to go yet

Bridgewater comes in day one better then Palmer is at this stage of his career. Palmer not going to change into an all world qb this year. He still going to throw less then 25 td and more then 15 int. Bridgewater either comes in and makes those numbers or does better then them.

I'm not going to say that with absolute conviction, but I would expect Teddy to have a high quality rookie season. However if you look at the rookie seasons of guys like Peyton Manning we cannot just assume things.

The only concern about Teddy...

Can he handle the physicality of the NFC West?

Kaep and Wilson can at least move around a bit. Bradford is bigger than Bridgewater and he's always hurt.

Then again...if he could sit for two years (get bigger) he's got a shot.

Question isnt talent, but durability.

Eh I don't question his durability, those other qbs put themselves in harms way by scrambling and such. He will be a pure pocket passer and is no vulnerable than if we had peyton or tom or any one else. If he gets blinded or has a freak accident those things happen. Manziel is going to be like rg3 and thinking he could do it all and run run run, his body wouldn't stand up to the nfc west and the big hitters we have in this division

I don't get this notion that Teddy B isn't athletic. He has good athleticism. Best of all he maneuvers about the pocket very quickly, decisively, and smartly (is this a word?). He doesn't run very frequently which if anything should cause him to take less hits.

Yes he has a small frame and needs to get bigger. Keeping on weight could be a problem for him. But the dude is tough as nails. If he can play at 214 all season long I think he'll be totally fine.

If I were you guys I would be praying for Teddy at 20. Dude is the best QB in this draft.

I think Bortles is but yea still getting Teddy would be nice. I really want him to fall to us just so I know if we would take him. I don't think he'll fall to us but if he does..... Shocked
