We sure are going to have a whole bunch of CB's to choose from. Who do you think gets cut/moved to safety?

Chris Houston
Darius Slay
Rashean Mathis
Bill Bentley
Cassius Vaughn
Chris Greenwood
Jonte Green
Maybe a rookie?

I think Green and Bentley will be cut. Maybe Vaughn plus one of those two.

I've always wanted to see Jonte Green at safety. I am holding out hope that Greenwood makes the roster. He looked fantastic at the end of last year and would love to see him play the ball under Austin.

I agree on both counts. Bentley is the most likely cut IMO given his concussion history mixed with up and down play. I think Green could be a solid S or Mathis could move back as well. But I do agree I really liked Greenwood at the end of the year although Dallas released him as well so maybe his time is running out.

Solid signing. He was our only decent DB last year.

glad to see him come back. Very nice veteran to have. Plays the ball well in the air, not intercepting but defended it.

Mathis was good for us when healthy. A one year deal byes us time to evaluate/develop the young guys. Solid move. Very Happy

I want our DB depth chart to look like this next year

LCB - Houston, Greenwood, Mathis
RCB - Slay, Greenwood
Nickel - Bentley, Mathis

FS - ROOKIE (Bucannon or Brooks in the 2nd or 3 would be nice), Green
SS - Quin, Iddfsboiaebf (CAN'T SPELL HIS NAME)

And I think Chris Greenwood can shock the world and be a very good CB this year.

Agreed. I believe he is a smart and locker room type player. Will help with our young guys greatly.

I'm very happy he is back.

I think by the end of the year Slay and Greenwood are our starting CBs, with Houston and Mathis providing quality veteran depth and mentoring the youngsters. I never considered Green at safety, but it might work better than it did with Spievey. I think this also means that CB is not considered a need in this draft, unless we add one on days 2 or 3. I still expect a safety in round 2 or 3.
