So lets say I called the Bengals drafting Aaron Murray in the 5th round, but instead they draft him in the 3rd round. Does that still count?

Under my scoring system, you get 3 points for guessing the 5th rounder right, but half those points for the wrong guy, so you get 1 and a half points total for the Murray scenario above.......

Seems legit enough to me. I did something like that last year. Lets just say I didn't even get one remotely correct.

Isn't it tougher to get a 7th round pick correct instead of a 1st round pick? Given its all a crap shoot, wouldnt seem to value getting a 7th rounder nailed perfectly as incorrectly picking a player in the 3rd round... No?

Yes, I agree it is difficult, near impossible, to get the lower round packs right, although someone had Burfict as a UDFA , and 'villain; called DiManche right as a UDFA last year.

I suppose most folks only pay attention to the first 3 rounds, and then fall asleep, so I guess its right to have most of the points being scored up front.

LB, do you like football/soccer? Just wondering...

I'm a Spurs supporter myself.

Yup. Played amateur football (soccer) here for 20 years, (and paid to play each week by the way), and played amateur rugby here for too long, (and have the scars to prove it).

My interest in soccer has faded over the years, with too many cheaters in the game; (flopping I think you guys call it); too much dominance by the 'big' teams, and brainless drunken violence in the crowds.

That's one of the reasons why I grew to love American Football so much. Parity of competition through drafts and salary caps, means the Dan Snyders and the Jerry Joneses of this world cant go round and endlessly buy all the best players like they can in European soccer.

I've had some great nights at White Hart Lane over the years, enjoying the hospitality of a contractor I used to work for who rented an executive box there. Still a great atmosphere to be had at 'The Lane'.

American Football is the all around best sport in the world though as far as I'm concerned, and that from an Englishman.......

Perhaps a debate best for another thread......

No, no, part of the 'fun' of this is wincing when they actually pick a guy you had in a previous mock, and regretting changing your picks.......!!!!!!

Its good to keep 'states' evidence........

OK, I guess I better get this in.

1. Jason Verrett CB TCU
alt. Kony Ealy, DE Mizzou

2. Kareem Martin DE UNC
alt. Marcus Martin C USC

3. JaJuan James OT Tennessee
ALT. Zach Mettenberger QB LSU

4. Aaron Murray QB UGA
alt. Pierre Desir

5. Brandon Coleman WR Rutgers
alt.

6a. John Brown WR Pitt State

6b. JC Copeland FB LSU

7a. James Wilder RB FSU

7b. Aaron Lynch DE USF

I feel like a backup TE should be in there somewhere, but my gut says we stick with Charles as a true TE after draftinf a true FB

Like it 'INB', that's the kind of mock I'm heading towards; maybe take a OG instead of Coleman, but overall; love it.

2-time reigning champ 'INB'; no pressure then........

I think those two will be long gone by that point. Mettenberger and James should be gone between picks 30-50 IMO.
