I think this is the key thing.

Personally, I'd go back to one FFMD a year and forget about free agency and just do the draft.

That would get rid of the majority of the controversies which antagonise people because of the strive for realism.

Snuck a peak at the main thread about this, seems like they're really gung ho about making this more complicated to "fix" it

All I can say is, good luck finding people to participate...

I'm fighting a losing battle trying to simplify it.
Bunch of hardheads dead set on the continuous mock.

That's fine, but then why have the discussion?
Just trial it.

I think it might work if it started out now, let there be a one week shark tank for all remaining FA's and let people trade picks and players as they see fit and then do the draft..

They have an FFMDII that is primarily just what you said.
It focuses mainly on the draft which, in my opinion, is ideal.

The FA process is confusing and not fun. I was apart of it this year and it still confuses me tbh. Skip that and the whole process becomes much better.

It's an s-show in that thread right now IMO
They keep trying to figure out ways to do this continuous mock nobody wants to do

Keep it simple. It's that simple.

Alright ladies and gentlemen Iíve put a lot of thought into the feedback you all provided and feel that Iíve come up with a proposal that incorporates many of your ideas and addresses many of the issues that were discussed as well.

Iíve written it out as a complete set of detailed rules and guidelines, with several viewable google docs for illustration purposes. Iíll work at getting these set up for use, so that everyone will be able to see how the contract structures would work.

Iím also going to be working on the Awards section of this proposal in the near future.

ny92jefferis FFMD '15 Proposal

I encourage you all review the proposal and voice any questions, comments and/or concerns to please do so within the FFMD í15 Development Thread.

Thanks

Ny92jefferis

This don't seem simple.

Well because of the changes, I wanted to be detailed with the proposal.

The process on the other hand is quite simple.

Yea I'm sure it may be and congrats on putting in all the hard work. But I know myself and many others here would rather just have a few paragraphs of rules and just be allowed to run the team without all trades being over ruled.

And you may have addressed these concerns. 18 pages of rules just seems overkill.

18 pages is overkill I agree and thanks because I have put a ton of work into this proposal. I'm writing something up now, not sure if I'll get if finished tonight or not but will have it up soon. It'll probably add another page to this...ha but one of the mods suggested it in the GM mock draft forum and thats to address what would be changing from the old and the one thing you mentioned in being allowed to trade without being over ruled is addressed.

IMO, the GM's do need more control of their actions without being restricted by others opinions. I think the way I've worked out the rules allows for that.

In talking about the trade restrictions, I think the only time the League Office should step in and deny it would be if the team went rogue and was basically trading away their team and picks for little value simply because they're tired of playing.

IRL there was no problem with the Washington Redskins trading with the Rams to acquire RGIII. Was it a bad move? At this point I would say absolutely but at the time both teams felt it was a deal worth making.

You're putting way too much time into something most of the forum doesn't care about.
