The biggest problems with Manziel;

1 - He isn't going to be ready to start year one, according to a lot of reports he is well behind the game mentally, specifically with reading and understanding opposition defenses.

2 - He is a terrible fit for what Bruce Arians wants to do on offense; Scheme fit is a massive part of grading guys for drafting and free agency pickups, JM would get close to a zero for a scheme fit in AZ.

1. we wont start him on year one, at least not over Palmer, he will sit back for 1-3 years or until we need him

2. the Scheme that Arians plays is a high-flying play-style that is built around getting the BIG plays, Manzel will fit well he since he always seems to have the ability to make a BIG play happen any way possible.

^ if those are his only main problems then we can certainly have the ability to fix them by the time he starts.

Only problem with #1 is, is that Arians has said if we draft a rookie QB he will start day 1. But Arians does throw a lot of smoke

It's the route tree that Arians wants to run. The 5 and 7 step drops that require the QB to sit in the pocket for long period and make throws. That is the opposite of JM's MO.

Also; don't underestimate the depth of defenses in the NFL and the smarts and quick processing ability you have to have to be able to diagnose and then read a defense as it falls into shape while at the same time going through your progressions and finding the right area to put the ball at the right time. Then you have to get it there.

If you look at some of the most successful QB's of late, guys like the Manning brothers. They were taught defense in college before they even began to learn their own offense. If you can read and diagnose the defense you have already won half the battle before the snap.

Know thyself and know thy enemy.

Cut and paste so we have something to compare too

Where is our RT? And don't say Yankey as he is a guard and a good one

Like Mosley and love Yankey

Ellington might not be in play, I thought Keim likes big wrs
