The front office drafted Commings to be our FS though. I doubt we're gonna change our plans.

Chiefer, I think you are confusing what is my opinion on what I would prefer to do as the same as me trying to predict what our front office and coaching staff will do.
Ah okay that makes sense.

If we could get Brooks/Ward that would be awesome though.

Super awesome

Chiefs signed OG Otis Hudson.
The 2010 fifth-round pick of the Bengals has never appeared in an NFL game. He was most recently waived last August. He's a roster filler for the Chiefs. May 1 - 4:32 PM

Four years, no appearance .. well ...

Most likely true, but you never know. A lot of players havent excelled in the NFL with the Begals. Just saying!

Very true. I certainly hope he warrants sticking around and proves to be legitimately worth a roster spot. I am not going to hold my breath though.

Since the draft is all over. Lets get back to free agency for the Chiefs. I know we don't have much money. But I have a couple guys for the Chiefs.
(1)Danario Alexander WR Chargers (2)Garrett Reynolds G/T Falcons. I would really like to see the Chiefs sign Mr. Alexander.

Richie, it'd have to be for a milk shake and a pair of shoes. Kid has some talent but came out of Mizzou hurt and has never gotten completely healthy. EVER!

Camp body to catch balls but can't count on him to be healthy. You have to be available to help....he ain't! Wink

Was wondering when we were going to add a 3rd OT.

Decent enough. I'm assuming a 1 year deal.

I am a pretty big fan of Webb. Big guy who has shown he can somewhat play in this league. I think with this signing it shows that Linkenbach will be a rotational guard, while Webb is our 3rd tackle. I am still a little nervous with Johnson and Allen starting at G for us this year but I have enough faith in our coaching staff that they will be able to make this work.

Quote:
Chiefs signed DT Kyle Love.
Love appeared in one game for the Chiefs last season during November before latching on with the Jaguars. The former Patriot started 25 games for New England from 2010-2012. Love will try to earn a spot as a reserve.

Another DL ...

Looks like the Chiefs are planning to trot outa seven men defensive line frequently this year:

Quote:
Chiefs signed DT Jermelle Cudjo, formerly of the Rams.
Cudjo doesn't have to travel far after being released by St. Louis five days ago. At 6-foot-2 and 304 pounds, he's a undersized for a typical 3-4 defense. But the Chiefs don't have a single lineman taller than 6-foot-3 among their main five-man rotation. Cudjo struggles against the run and doesn't generate much pass rush.

I just wonder who got released so far. If they really signed all the UDFA they were said they had they should have about 100 players on the roster now.

Didn't Webb play some OG for the Bears?

As for all those UDFAs, I know I saw a big list of guys that was later cut down about in half. Can't they bring some in for the rookie OTA not on a contract? Maybe that's where the discrepancy is coming from.

Honestly this seems like Camp Fodder/"Competition" signings.

Webb Nation was awful last I heard from Bears fans.

EDIT: In the one game tape I've watched so far against AZ State, Kona Schwenke was great.

Now he's got problems with Snap Count/Anticipation, last guy off the line a good amount. Also his tape was 2.5 minutes, comparatively one of Poe's tapes was 20 minutes long.

But his hands are active/nimble, he's got some moves, and great movement skills. When he does time the snap well he can be a wrecking ball, and he really understands leverage. Plus he's got a fro.

Quote:
Chiefs signed WR Mark Harrison, CB Kip Edwards, CB Quinton Byrd and WR Cole Stanford.
A "name" undrafted free agent last season, Harrison was waived by the Pats two weeks ago. He reportedly showed up late to an OTAs session before earning his walking papers. Harrison is an intriguing size/speed prospect with 4.46 wheels to go along with his 6-foot-3, 230-pound frame, but spent 2013 stowed away on the reserve/PUP list. He's likely just a camp body despite the Chiefs' unsettled situation at wideout.

The quote is misleading - those four participated on a tryout basis.
