Agreed... it's also a deep draft at corner so talent can be found in the 2nd-3rd. Seems like a player like Cooks or Beckham could soften the blow of losing Sproles and take up some of the slack on some of those outlet passes that Brees is so accustomed to throwing. Those two also would help as kick returners (especially Beckham) which is an area we need to upgrade.

Outside of those, seem to me that the value at 27 will be pass rusher with guys like Ford, Elay and Lawrence on the board.

Loomis usually doesn't restructure unless he has a specific reason in mind. I am hoping that it is money for Jimmy Graham. We need this guy signed to a long term deal. He was the only guy able to beat press last year (when healthy). Without him...our passing game will be limited.

Flood... I typically don't try to get too excited over any one prospect that the Saints might draft as I like to keep an open mind and not be let down if the player I covet is bypassed by the Saints but this year could be different. The more and more I study Penn State receiver Allen Robinson the more I feel he will eventually be the best "pure #1" receiver to come out of this draft!

I like Robinson too. Good size and hands and can make plays after the catch for his size. So many good wideouts this year

1. OLB Dee Ford
2. WR Allen Robinson
3. C Travis Swanson

Anyone have any issues with that draft?

I'd love it but Robinson will go in first round... Book it!

To big to physical to dynamic after the catch not to. Guy is Anquan Boldin 2.0!

Won't get Pass his old HC at Penn St. Obrian with the top pick in the 2nd at worst!

Silly way to draft. Ellis and Sullivan both busted for us, does that mean we should turn down Aaron Donald at 27 if he falls there?

Love to see a 3 man front in passing situations once Brees gets a lead of Jordan and Hicks with Donald in the middle... Don't believe the interior could handle his speed. Add Galette and Butler off the edge and that's a scary pass rush!

Agreed. Im just saying thats a very silly way of approaching the draft. If theirs a CB there that the Saints feel can be a great player in this league, we'd be dumb to not take him. CB is a big need. It won't matter how good Lewis is if our #2 is getting ripped apart. Having great CBs will also help when our pass rush is having troubles. Which was a huge issue against Seattle.

Agreed...

Looking at the corners I think Gilbert, Dennard & Fuller are all off the board by 27. I don't want Roby and Verrett is more of an inside corner which still leaves us with a need on the edge. I wouldn't give any other corner a 1st round grade.

oh by all means. Saints shouldn't turn down a guy they love simply because of past busts or some other superstition. I think I was just making more of an observation than giving my opinion on what our draft strategy should be. truly, I'm the last person who should be giving draft opinions, I don't know anything about that stuff Laughing
