Having a guy that is this tall, but still quick enough to play in the slot is going to be just another great match-up for us. He certainly gives us more versatility than just sticking Edleman/Amendola in the slot all the time.
I know everyone is saying KT might be in trouble because of this. But if LaFell does work out doesn't it kind of make Amendola expendable? Isn't his contract set up so we can cut him at anypoint without a big hit on the salary cap, or am I just making that up in my head for some reason. _________________

Like the move. Lafell has good size and showed some potential to be a nice deep ball target. |

From the tape I am watching, it doesn't look like the guy can create separation. He seems to have the ability to make tough catches in traffic and fight for the ball, but if he couldn't do that he probably wouldnt be in the league anymore. _________________

Looks clumsy. Bad route runner. Bad hands, entirely a body catcher. Not smooth, and doesn't look natural doing what he does.
Only good things I see are that he has a nice big frame and plays tough. _________________

Greatly disliked Lafell coming out of LSU and he looks exactly as anticipated. |

He's not a body catcher; exactly the opposite. He can't get any separation so he relies on snatching the balls out of the air. _________________

Not a bad contract at all. Test drive him for a year and if he's any good keep him around _________________
