On the bright side, the Bengals are going to have probably two 3rd round comp picks in 2015. Or at least a 3rd and a 4th.

Love the new positive side J!

Yeah, it sucks. What sucks the most is knowing that for most of his tenure here he was on the bench, while guys like Dennis Roland got more snaps than him. Paul Alexander needs to be fired already...

I read the bids he got were all competitive and close. I'm thinking we were right around there. Probably helps that there's no state income tax in FL...

We'll never know for sure, but i'm guess we were maybe a few million under this, or structured in a way that he was less likely to see all of it. Maybe. Who knows.

This is more positive for Tampa than it is hurtful to the Bengals. Whitworth is still the better LT, now the team just has to find a lower cost option at LG, which isn't impossible.

I think Tampa grossly overpaid for him. He's not a good run blocker and he's spent most of his career as a backup.

I wish him the best, but I'm glad the Bengals decided not to overpay him just to keep him in Cincinnati.

It's looking like a 3 and a 4 or 5. Johnson should be a 3 unless he has an awful year. Collins contract alone makes him a 3-4 range but I assume Byrd and some of the other big names will knock Collins down

That's too much money for him anyway. So I'm not too upset now.

I guess we gotta remember that a big reason for change on the OL needed to be made based upon the lineup in the playoffs, which was

LT Collins
LG Whitworth
C Cook
RG Zeitler
RT Smith

Lets just hope that Boling back at LG will not hinder the team.

Roland is on extreme necessity reserve (sitting on his couch waiting for a call) so we probably need a tackle in the draft and maybe a guard.

I was thinking those were the two biggest factors. Florida has probably the second most lenient tax laws behind Texas. Low sales tax, no gift/estate tax, no state income tax
