Code:
 AdamSchefter
Filed to ESPN: San Francisco is trading a conditional draft pick to Miami for OT Jonathan Martin, per league sources.

The fact that we got anything for him is great and playing under Harbaugh should be good for him too. It's a win for both sides.

Good. I knew he would either go Indy because of Luck or 49ers because of Harbaugh. Probably a 7th that could turn into a 6th

good riddens. The guys on NFL net didnt think he was playing all that great before [inappropriate/removed] hit the fan. No one on miami roster wanted to play with him, so it was only a matter of time. I dont think he will remain in the nfl for long.

I'm sure he'll be real popular in that locker room. Enjoy having no work friends for the rest of your professional "career".

I am sure Alden Smith is happy to have the guy he torched for 5+ sacks as a teammate. But I will say Martin's faults will be hidden in SF because they are a run first team. When you pass the ball a lot it puts you at a disadvantage.

He makes the Pro Bowl. It happens when you leave the Fins makes us fans say............... WTF.... as in What The Football.

Like the possibility with the Colts its logical, he is back with college coach.

For the 49'ers its a can't lose deal. They give up at the most a conditional seventh round pick and now have depth at the Offensive Tackle position.

It is a great trade for both teams.

For Miami getting rid of him without releasing him protects them from another giant PR mess, he was definitely not going to be accepted back in the locker room, so getting anything out of it was a good move. It probably also saves them of a lawsuit, and having to pay Martin a big compensation.

For San Francisco, he can serve as an OG or a swing tackle, where he fits better. While he is an average player, he is also in his rookie contract and costs them nothing (worst case a 7th in 2015).

If during training camp Martin continues to show that he is not mentally fit to the rigors of playing in the NFL, the 49ers can cut him and not pay the Dolphins anything.
