Someone in the news forum said trade brewing between Bucs, Texans and Patriots. Has to involve Revis and Mallett co.
The rumor is Texans get Mallett, Bucs get pick 33, and Pats get Revis. There's no way in hell that's happening.

I've also seen it with Carolina and Steve Smith in place of Revis. Still no way.

Number one, that's an idiotic rumor, but number two, why, if you're the Patriots, wouldn't you just take the 33rd pick and wait for the Bucs to cut Revis?

You're repeating a joke tweet from Mike Tanier who was specifically tweeting that to make fun of how stupid the free agency rumor mill is.

Wouldn't mind kicking the tires of Tony Gonzalez.

Yep, I tracked it down. The Panthers forum was having a nice discussion about it. I had to go ruin that Laughing

Lions are shopping Ndamukong Suh.

He's due to make $11.55 million this season and is skipping Detroit's voluntary workouts... makes sense.

They don't sound voluntary to me if you get traded for not turning up...

lol for real. I wonder what the compensation is. The Lions wont really have leverage and 11 mil is pretty hefty.

Then again, his 2015 is cost controlled (around 3 mil) and is voidable. Could be a low risk acquisition if the price is right.

The Lions would have to eat almost $20 million in dead cap space if they traded Suh. Aint gonna happen.

Lions fans (as do most other fans when talking about their team's potentially traded player) believe he'll fetch the Lions a ransom.

Just as Bucs fans thought Revis would. Just as Eagles fans thought Jackson would.

People with that line of thought need to ask themselves a simple question. If the guy is really worth that much, why are they trading him? (Especially in this situation where he isnt blocking a younger talent and money is clearly not the reason as Dhunt pointed out).

Cowboys re-signed DE/LB Anthony Spencer to a 1-year deal.

Denarius Moore might become available. I'd consider dealing for him, he could break out with a competent QB situation for the first time in his career.

Seahawks just hired Jeff Ireland as a draft consultant. Does this overtake the Pats hiring Mike Lombardi as the most baffling personnel decision in recent memory by a Super Bowl contending team?

Still gotta be some of the stuff Trent Baalke has pulled over this offseason.
