For his career, the 24-year-old recorded 171 tackles, 53 special teams stops, 4.0 sacks, one interception and one fumble recovery returned for a touchdown. In 2013, Muamba was named a CFL All-Star and earned the Lew Hayman Trophy, given to the best Canadian player in the East Division

Interesting. Kinda like Jerrell Freeman, but then not really at the same time.

It appears that Muamba has never played traditional American football. He grew up in Canada, played Canadian-rules football in college before being the #1 overall pick in the CFL.

Found his CFL Scouting combine numbers:

40: 4.72
Shuttle: 4.13 sec
3 cone: 6.72 sec
Bench: 25 reps
Vertical: 35'5"
Broad: 10'5"

Quick note. Those numbers are just RIDICULOUS for a 230 pounder. For perspective, his agility (3 cone and shuttle) and explosion (broad and vert) would have been top 5 in all 4 categories for RBs and LBs last year. Actually would have been THE top performer in shuttle and #2 in the 3-cone (.01 sec slower than Xavier Gooden)

Just watched some highlight clips of his in college. This guy is fast and incredibly RANGY. Typically looks like the fastest and strongest guy on the field in college. But this guy's arms are crazy long. Anyone that got near him went down. He's got some pass rush moves and good pop, but I think he's just too small at 6 ft 230 to be an OLB. Could be a definite fit at ILB though behind or even next to Freeman.

Really interesting to see Grigson's approach. He really seems to enjoy finding these guys that no one even thinks about (Freeman, McNary, Adongo) and then see if they develop. He's had some damn good success thus far.

Hard to predict now, but I think he definitely has a shot at making the team this year.

Could be an interesting signing. If he is as fast as he looks in some of those highlights, he could be a great piece to the defense.

Decent signing for the Colts, anything to improve the defense.

You guys will be happy with him. He was more dominate than Freeman was in the CFL imo. Doesn't mean he will make a better pro, but just some input from a CFL fan.
