Knowing what Whisenhunt has done with Kurt Warner and Phillip Rivers would you be opposed to bringing Michael Vick in to help backup Locker or even to start? I feel oddly he could be a good fit with the right coaching behind him.

Nah. He's an aging injury waiting to happen.

Seems like a strange criticism for Titans fans. I'd have interest as a backup.

Being from Philly I would agree that he is an injury waiting to happen, we are much better off with Fitz as a back-up. While I would not mind letting Whiz try to work his magic with Vick, I am not optimistic because of his injury issues.

Agreed on both accounts. I don't think we'd be bringing him in hoping he stays healthy for 16 games. The question is, if Locker misses three weeks in the middle of the year, who gives us a better chance of winning games: Fitz or Vick? I'm not sure, but I'd be willing to bring Vick in as a backup.

Not that he wouldn't be a better backup QB but in his previous contract he was averaging 7.5 mil per year. He would have to take a huge paycut in order for me to consider him. Fitzpatrick is 4.25 mil against the cap in 2014 and cutting him results in slightly over 1 mil in dead money.

If we go the cutting Fitz route I would prefer to target someone like Seneca Wallace/Josh McCown/AnyOtherCheapOldVet who would come in for around 1 mil/year.

As far as it being strange criticism I'm not a fan of Jake Locker as our starting/franchise QB either, for multiple reasons, so it shouldn't be too strange. Just because we are fans of a certain team doesn't mean we don't have opinions that differ from that of our front office! Razz

i could easily see a scenario where both QB's go on injured reserve within weeks of each other.

Pass on Vick.
