Quote: | Oakland Raiders quarterbacks coach John DeFilippo will interview Thursday for the Cleveland Browns offensive coordinator position, a league source has confirmed.
ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter first reported the news Tuesday afternoon.
DeFilippo, considered a young and bright offensive mind, is in his second tour of duty as the Raiders QB coach and was one of the first assistants on Dennis Allen’s staff to agree to a one-year contract extension this offseason. |

Interesting. Never thought him to be an OC candidate. Most related him as a QB coach to two names…… Russell and Sanchez and write him off. |

I don't get it either. I was always under the impression he sucked. "Bright young offensive mind"? Wut?
What is it with the media loving Olson and DeFlippo? |

Oakland Raiders work out Grey Cup MVP Kory Sheets
Quote: | The Oakland Raiders are in danger of losing running back Darren McFadden in free agency, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise that they have conducted a workout with another potential running back on Wednesday.
According to Adam Caplan of ESPN, the Raiders hosted Saskatchewan Roughriders running back Kory Sheets on Tuesday, who went through a workout at the team facility. |
This guy came out of nowhere and completely took over the CFL two years ago. This year, it was a 2 man running race for the best RB title. Im a Stampeder fan and our RB was Cornish, who finished leading the league in rushing yards and was named the Most Outstanding Player, but I can not deny Sheets. He was simply outstanding. He was on pace to destroy the rushing record but got hurt mid season and missed some time.
His stats these past two years since entering the CFL:
Rushing:
SHEETS, K 2012 SSK 229 1,277 5.6 48 11
SHEETS, K 2013 SSK 287 1,598 5.6 41 12
Receiving:
SHEETS, K 2012 SSK 49 517 10.6 76 2
SHEETS, K 2013 SSK 37 264 7.1 24 0 _________________

Guess Tim Walton is an option for DB coach. Not sure if that is good or bad. |

If anything, this made me actually dislike him and I'm a big Streater fan. I typically don't take things too seriously, but man that was conceited and not even funny. |

Marshawn Lynch asked about coach Tom Cable: "Being from Oakland all I knew about him is he punched people. That's my kind of person." #SBSMG

I just dont like him because he is in our division. Not like my Tom Brady hate. Or my Philip cry me a Rivers disdain. |

Joe Woods and Marcus Robertson are our new DB coaches. Since this is all happening today I would have to assume this is plan B. Both coaches seem decent though. Robertson especially probably knows what Allen is looking for. |

Wouldn't mind Allen taking a stronger interest in the DBs either. That is his specialty after all. Doesn't Pete Carroll do that a bit too? I know DBs are his strong suit too as far as positions go. |
