Jeff Darlington @JeffDarlington 11m
I'm told Jay Gruden and the Redskins are currently working out the final details to make him the team's new head coach.

Personally I hate the hire. I think he's definitely the weak link of the Bengals and if they promote Hue Jackson they'll be much better off. _________________

Final details are all set. Jay Gruden is the new head coach of the Washington Redskins, I’m told. Now, a little bit about Gruden...
On NFL Network too. It's official now. _________________

He was alright for awhile for the Bengals. But his play calling was extremely questionable at times and IMO he doesn't use his personnel right.
IE: running a pitch play to BJGE on 3rd and 2
Or
Putting Gio in on 3rd and goal up the middle
Or
In the playoffs on 4th and 3 going deep _________________

Andy Dalton was the weak link of the Bengals.
All things considered I like the hire. _________________

I've never heard any fan base at any time praise their offensive coordinator for more than 1-2 seasons. _________________

I'm glad that Skins made this hire now instead of lingering. _________________

Same. Every fanbase hates their OC. _________________

No idea why the hell they would keep Jim Haslett. _________________

Redskins TE coach Sean McVay is expected to become Washington's OC, per league sources, Raheem Morris a possible defensive coordinator. |

It's hard to say how he'll do because he's never had majority influence over a team, but he strikes me of knowing what he's doing.
That being said I wouldn't accept that Redskins job. What a mess over there. _________________
