I really hope Dan Quinn doesn't go. Bevell and Cable leaving would hurt lots, especially Cable, but I could stomach it. I trust Pete enough to get good replacements.

Pete and John just need to tell these teams that all our coaches call in sick everyday and drink on the job. Bad job references can hurt.

I think these job interviews could hurt this team during the playoffs. No matter what they say, these interviews are a distraction to preparing for the games. It obviously shows that these guys are all doing a good job and I certainly would expect them to entertain any offer that could/would advance their careers, but it still kind of sucks that the poaching begins when the team is supposed to be focusing in on their playoff run. But it happens every year to a lot of teams in the playoffs, so it's not an excuse for a poor performance.

Yea, I hear what you're saying. Not a huge deal though, especially for Dan Quinn, considering we don't know our opponent yet. I feel like Bevell could probably use the extra time to add wrinkles to his offense, but game-planning the defense is more of a reactionary process based off what the opponent does and doesn't do well.

Who are some play callers we could potentially look at to replace Bevell if the Vikes do sign him?

The QB coach in Green Bay seems like a potential option

I don't want to clog the prospect thread, so I'll post here. I realize it's a mock draft, but I do think I model a scenario that I hope Seattle will pursue this offseason.

Ended up cutting Clemons. There was no way we could afford him at 9.5M with Avril at 9M and the need to resign Bennett.

Also traded away Bryant. Was able to move him and our 4th (32nd pick in this mock) for Brandon Mosley (solid backup and developmental starter at G/RT) and the Giants 3rd (12th overall pick).

Resigned Breno

Signed Travelle Wharton on the cheap (veteran guard who had a top 6 season imo)

Brought back McDonald and McDaniel for a good price

Resigned Jeron Johnson

Brought back Bennett on a 5 year deal

Quote:
HC: PETE CARROLL
OC: BEN McADOO
DC: DAN QUINN

I love what you did Tats, that's about a good pre-draft job as anybody can do.

That's a really cool commercial. I remember watching a documentary on Coleman earlier in the season as well, he's a really big success story.

Okay, kinda off topic, but did anyone notice that the panthers are starting Colin Cole??? Shocked he's stil in the league, let alone starting for one of the best D's. That'll be a big relief if we play them next wek

He wasn't a terrible player in Seattle and I'm glad that he could see some success outside of Seattle. He gets to play around some great talent.
