Definitely better to rest him up next week. Hopefully we get a win and a first round bye which would give him another week of rest.

Could have been a lot worse.

Huge sigh of relief. Its not that if Smith was out during the playoffs it would hurt us a lot like it would have 3 years ago, its that it would suck to watch Steve Smith have to watch from the sidelines in the playoffs at the end of his career. He deserves this season more than anyone on our team. Rest him up this week, get the win, he suits up in 3 weeks.

If there's anyone we need in the playoffs, it is Smitty. Even if he's lost a step, he's been there before and along with Gross the experience they bring is invaluable.

I'm sure we can all happily remember the double OT TD that Smitty had during our SB run.

one of the greatest panthers plays period but if he's thrown that ball today he either drops it or gets tackled immediately. but I feared the worst when he went down and am glad he just needs some rest. Hopefully we get the bye and can rest him the next two weeks.

Hello, Tennessee21 and welcome to the boards!

Could you do me a favor and resize your avatar? It should be no larger than 80x80.

Thanks!

And yes, hopefully Smitty can heal up quickly. We'll definitely need him in the playoffs. Getting the bye week to recuperate would be huge.
