So it's christmas time..and that can only mean one thing! Draft time! All kidding aside, I do enjoy mocks and reading others mocks. I also have the pleasure of working in DIV 1 athletics, so I'm thankful for having the opportunity to see a bunch of these kids play.

Anyways, let me start off by saying a getting a QB in this draft, regardless whatever EJ shows up next 3 weeks, is not a good idea. Too many holes on this football team. I say wait until after next season. If he tanks, Bryce Petty (Baylor) is your guy in 2015.

Anyways, here it is: Version 1

FWIW, I used NFL draft game, so simulated trades among other things. **Grades based on value and team need from website**

Traded back 8th to 12th w/ NYG, grabbed an extra 2nd.

Round 1 Pick 12 (NYG): Khalil Mack, OLB, Buffalo (B+)
Round 2 Pick 8: Austin Seferian-Jenkins, TE, Washington (A-)
Round 2 Pick 12 (NYG): Cyril Richardson, OG, Baylor (A)
Round 3 Pick 8: Jarvis Landry, WR, LSU (A)
Round 4 Pick 8: Jaylen Watkins, CB, Florida (B+)
Round 5 Pick 8: Gabe Ikard, C, Oklahoma (B)
Round 6 Pick 8: Demarcus Lawrence, DE, Boise State (B+)
Round 7 Pick 8: Deandre Coleman, DT, California (A-)

Quick thoughts: I believe I have added 3 starters on day 1 in K.Mack, ASJ, and C.Richardson. WR is often too difficult for rookies to come in and be consistent in NFL. Landry is a tough WR, that has size. Watkins is a nickel in Florida's secondary, but could start on other SEC teams. Ikard adds depth behind Wood, Lawrence and Coleman both are coachable talents to hopefully one day succeed in role situations in a defense that uses a lot of players.

Would love to discuss overall or individual with you guys. What do you think?

IMO you hit on all our needs. I also favour the trade back.

Nice mock although I don't think Cyril Richardson falls, he is the top rated Guard

Maybe, maybe not, but he did in the NFL draft game scenario. You're right. Would be a steal if he does fall.
