| This guy was just released and could really provide some depth for our linebacking corps. If they can get him at a good price he could either step in as a bookend with Babin, or backup Peek. I think our Texans really need to look at this guy. |

| I agree! I like our new look defense, but depth at linebacker is very questionable right now. It seems we cleared some money this offseason this wouldn't be a bad spot to spend some. |

| That's another thing. He's coming off being hurt and has been in the league for awhile, so he may accept a paycut to prove himself for a season or two. If he can stay healthy, then great, we have a pro-bowl calibre outside linebacker. If he can't, then at least we have a mentor for Babin and Peek. It all comes down to numbers, and as you said, we cleared alot of cap space for the proposed Orlando Pace move. |

| The Baltimore Sun reported that Boulware was in for a visit with the Texans the other day. Apparently we are one of 3 teams that are interested in him, with the other two being Cleveland and Seattle. |

Fromm KFFL.COM:
| Quote: | Browns | No Offer to Boulware - from www.KFFL.com
Thu, 2 Jun 2005 19:16:22 -0700
Patrick McManamon, of the Akron Beacon Journal, reports free agent LB Peter Boulware (Ravens) left Cleveland Thursday, June 2 without a contract offer from the Cleveland Browns. "We don't want to be the team, so to speak, to kind of set the bar right now because we don't know where the bar is going to be," general manager Phil Savage. The Browns gave Boulware a physical, and though he didn't say it directly, Savage sounded cautious about the health of Boulware. He missed all of last season with knee and toe injuries. Boulware is now on his way to Seattle and after that he has "a couple other things lined up." |
Boulware did say he was "very impressed" with the Texans. He may still land here yet. What sticks out is the "cautious about the health". |

| Yeah, it strikes me that his health must be pretty suspect if he is still on the market and not getting offers. Are there any other free agents out there we might want to go after? |
