lol this thread is hilarious lol We drafted our best QB in a decade our oline is basically all 3rd stringers at this point and this guy wants to go draft another QB which....we'd have to send our picks to grab? lol

round one is a tackle round 2 CB/LB and 3rd we grab a guard. That'd fix A LOT of issues. Drafting a QB AGAIN is the dumbest idea ever

I'm all for drafting another QB in the first round. With the rookie salary cap in place it is feasible today to have two first rounders at QB on the same team for a couple of years.

I'm not big on trading Tannehill this off season unless it's for a first rounder.

That being said, an upgrade is an upgrade and there is no more important position on a football team to improve at than the QB position.

Worse case is we have two good QBs that push each other through competition for a season until the FO makes a trade.

The one thing I do like about Johnny football is he has some brett Farve in him. The way he carry's himself on the field the way his teammates gravitate to him the way he isn't afraid to mix it up with opposing players. He has passion out there.

3rd i think is too early 4/5th i think is where id take one. We have some many holes its hard to think wed actually draft a qb that early. Need to pick up 2 good Olineman early this year.

And me. imho it's clear that he's still learning. I'm very happy to stick with him and focus on our other issues.

A QB will not be drafted in the 1st round...Tannehill will be the QB for the Phins in the foreseeable future....

The only thing the Dolphins should draft is O-lineman with a TE and LB sprinkled in...

Look, Tannehill IS a good quarterback. And if he can work on his deep ball (which Brady once needed to do too, and Drew Brees, mind you), then he can be a GREAT Qb one day. Remember this is still his second season. Quarterbacks generally improve over the first five or six seasons, and Tannehill certainly has the right mentality to be the type to keep working on his game and improving it. I think Tannehill can be great, despite all of his current flaws and critics.

Should he take off and run more? Sure. Does he lack in terms of pocket presence? Yeah, he can improve there. Is his deep ball (especially to Wallace) always a bit off? No doubt. But his poise and mentality to work on his game cannot be replaced with a stronger arm or better running skills. Personality strength is a key aspect of successful QBs, and he's got a lot of toughness and confidence in his game. He has proven that much.

That said, I am definitely in favor of bringing in a potentially great QB if one is available. QB is just everything for a football team. Look at the Colts year post-Manning and pre-Luck, look at the Chiefs last year. Hell, even look at the Jaguars and Bucs this year- do you really think these teams are that bad if they have a good QB? There is no reason why a team should think they are set at QB until it's proven that they are set. Even the Ravens, who had a QB who helped lead them to the Super Bowl, should have realized that a QB is not a franchise QB until he is clearly a franchise QB. Tannehill hasn't reached that point yet, so yeah, I'd draft a QB if one was available.
