The more I watch Drew Davis, the more I think he should stay on the field even when Roddy comes back. He's been impressive getting separation. Once Ryan realizes he has a legit target in Davis, this could be a breakout for him. _________________

In some ways I think Drew is our 3rd best WR. Good hands, Speed and route runner. Excellent blocker in run support. The kid is not afraid to get his hands dirty and wont get injured doing it. Maybe i'm a little bias because he was my HS teammate and long time friend. Can't explain how proud I am of Smoke (Drew). He's come a long way. In High School he played QB for 3 years then converted to WR his SR year which landed him on a full ride to Oregon. He was always the first in the Weight Room and the last one out, which was why he was stronger than most of our O line. He balled in a game against South High where Calais Campbell (Startin DE for the Arizona Cardinals) played at the right end position. (Calais kicked my [inappropriate/removed] the entire game but I held my own).
Hope my boy stays on this team for years to come. |
