Carroll said WR Percy Harvin likely won't return to team practices this week due to shortened schedule, but will have "vigorous" workouts.

It's looking like Harvin will make his Seahawks debut in week 8.

I was hoping he would miss our matchup with the Hawks. I'm not going to even bother watching that game.

That is impressive for Birk, im glad he is smart enough to know that it is hard to live a long life being 300+ pounds. Its certainly necessary to be that weight to have an NFL career as a lineman, but when that career is over, tehse guys need to cut weight to avoid long-term health complications due to being very large.

My sentiments exactly. Expect him to get suspended sometime within the next 6 weeks now that he'll be spending full-time in South Beach.

The Bills released cornerback Brandon Burton on Friday, the club said.

He has a tweener. Big safety, small linebacker. He's right around 220 lbs I believe.

Just like the game plans that made him such a successful college football coach, Don James took the time to map out the details of his memorial service.

No one expected anything less from the former University of Washington coach who died Oct. 20 at age 80 from pancreatic cancer.

Along with Pinkel, other coaches in attendance included former Indianapolis Colts coach Jim Mora, former Washington coaches Keith Gilbertson and Jim Lambright and former UTEP coach Bob Stull. Former players Mike Rohrbach, Michael Jackson and Chuck Nelson spoke. Nelson and Jackson mixed funny stories about their quirky coach with emotional moments where they fought tears remembering James.

For those that remember the Vikings' kicker of the late 80s. He was always one of my favorites...he never really got the support he deserved.

Sidney Rice has TORN ACL, done for the year.

Talented. But could never stay healthy.

#Bucs claimed Bobby Felder off waivers from #Vikings. He had been on IR since camp with ankle injury. Good dude and good young player.
