@Vikings

The #Vikings have waived DB Jacob Lacey, and have signed DB Shaun Prater.

Former Hawkeye. Good on special teams and willing to step up in the run game. Profiles best as a slot CB.

Nice signing. Prater was a strong zone corner coming out of Iowa. Does well in space, could be good depth in the nickel.

I liked Prater a lot coming out, good signing. He very well could stick on this team.

Not expecting much. He's been waived twice already this year.

Rookie edge rusher Sam Montgomery was released by the Texans for alleged marijuana use. He was a 3rd round pick.

He was once an outstanding NFL prospect (predicted as a top 10 pick) playing at LSU but was set up to fail in Houson IMO. They switched him to 3-4 OLB when he is a natural 4-3 DE and is much more explosive and effective at bending the edge when coming out of a 3 point stance vs standing up.

I would love the Vikes to sign him. He could be a nice rotational/developmental defensive end and a key depth piece that would give us some insurance if we let Allen walk this off-season.

Montgomery isn't going to be an elite DE but could be a nice young talent to groom and the type of player we need for the rebuilding effort of this defense. If he can get motivated and make good choices he could be a steal.

I'd be interested in him, but he seems to have massive maturity issues, which led to his release.

Not interested at all. He's incredibly slow off the snap, slow reaction time, and no really great aspect to his game. Trattou has just as much upside IMO

Tony Moeaki was releaEd today from injured reserve. He would be an intriguing option as a backside tight end when we release Carlson next year. He should come on the cheap and looking to prove himself.

I'd rather get someone in the "joker" role. Honestly I'm starting to wonder if Kyle would be better on the backside.

I seriously wonder if he'll play in the NFL again. Too many injuries, including I believe, a couple of a back injuries.

Poll if six player personnel execs across the league revealed the top ten list of players who could be traded.

9. G Charles Johnson, Minnesota Like Diehl, this is not necessarily about quality as much as experience and necessity. Johnson has played left tackle, albeit not particularly well.

Interesting. MN now only has 3 DEs on the roster, I suspect that could change.

Has there been an injury to a TE? Otherwise, why add an extra TE over a 4th DE?

I like Ford's upside though and I think he could be viewed as a potential replacement for John Carlson.
