Are there Saber Metrics for the actual game of football or aren't there? You continually bring them up like you're some expert and it's accepted by our GM, yet you can't give an example. Again, there are too many variables on every single play to come up with a system similar to the one basketball and baseball have. If you're just talking about draft measurables and draft philosophy, then that's something entirely different. That's where the disconnect is. That isnt the same thing as saber metrics so stop throwing that word around.

You are correct. SABR which stands for the "Society of Baseball Research" is used specifically for baseball. What I was referring to was the philosophical approach of applying statistics and analysis to better understand the game. Regardless, there is no denying that Sports Analytics is a rapidly growing trend in all sports and covers a number of different aspects of the game.

While I do not hold a lot of stock in it, Football Outsiders is one of a number of growing sites that has dedicated it's business to pursuing a Sabermetric approach to football. Football statistics are a tool (some better than others) that allow you to evaluate from a multitude of perspectives. That is where the strength of analytics is rather than just trying to use ONE statistic to explain something or attempting to isolate individual play.

Regardless of what you or Cohn, of the New Republic, might think. Analytics have value and are here to stay, the better teams are using analytics and it beats the "ye ole eye ball" test most of the time. However, in the future I will use Analytics rather than Metrics to explain my position so not to confuse and because it is probably a more descriptive word. TY for your perspective.

On Oct.4 Booker T Washington QB Treon Harris took down my Gorman Gaels by playing similar to Pryor. Poor guys could simply not keep Harris contained without exposing their flank or leaving WRs uncovered in the soft spots in zone. Good Luck to Treon and Booker T.

The more you stress it, the more hair you'll lose which will make you stress more about it!

And remember if you go bald from the back of your head (as opposed to hairline receeding) then everyone sees it before you!

Heck, they've probably noticed already!!!!

Bald? Oh man, I'm praying for you bro! If you start balding you should embrace it & go Vin Chisel with it though.

That Bosley stuff was used by my friends uncle and needless to say, his Johnson doesn't work anymore! Not even with Viagra!(His hair is kinda back though) Poor guy man, hair isn't everything. If you hit the gym & are bald that's pretty badazz.

If I ever started balding I'd go HAM in the weight room & smoke on a drag as girls walk by life "sup ma."

Taylor Griffin was balding in college.

I'm not going bald nor is my hairline receding but my hair is getting fine all over. Not as noticeable when I spike my hair. Its weird. Its a scalp thing apparently. Some months of using a shampoo (Nioxon?) and my hair will be thick again.

I used to shave my head on the regular, and still do when I'm too lazy for daily upkeep. Baldness does run in my family, to a certain extent, but I'm not sweating it. I already know what I'm gonna look like sans hair, and it's damn sexy.

You guys remember Andrew Walter? Apparently he's running for Congress in 2014.

Super random but I thought I'd share since he was a former Raider.

Yup. My hairline started creeping back when I was in my early-mid 20's. I decided I needed to get used to what I look like bald because I don't want to rock the horseshoe look when it gets really bad. So I started buzzing it to a 1 and I got used to it pretty quickly. Now it is a bit worse so I'll probably flat out shave it soon, but keeping it so short for years has gotten me used to the general look and I'm fine with it now.
