Quote:
"I didn't want to use," he said. "I would pray at night, 'Lord, make me stop drinking, just please don't let me die.' But the first thing I do when I get up in the morning is drink. I was gaining a lot of weight, I wasn't feeling right. I wasn't myself physically. I was numb to everything. It wasn't like it used to be; it was an entirely different feeling. It was a disaster."

Really powerful look at an incredible story. Makes everything he's done to this point just sensational.

If you're a Packers fan, you should definitely read this.

I'd argue Jordy is probably around the 30th-40th best receiver in the NFL, maybe 50th.

Yea absolutely love this story, if we win the Super Bowl this year that would be awesome for him, I might even tear up seeing him hold up that trophy, that would just be an amazing scene.

I can't wait to see his interview tomorrow, too bad I don't have NFLN...hopefully there will be a link up.

Good for Jolly, I never realized how bad it was for him.

Also, Al Harris is one stand up guy. Raji too.

(Al) Harris helped Jolly and his mother keep their house by loaning them money for living expenses and the mortgage. Had it not been for Harris, Jolly's mother most likely would have been evicted. Harris also asked Bechta to help get Jolly back in the NFL. Harris also convinced Bechta to stay with Jolly, even through his arrest and incarceration.
