Wonder what we could get for him?

Any guesses?

At this point, i'm not sure we could get anything higher than a 2nd at best.

If we don't get at least a 3rd though I'll be pissed.

I am thinking a 3rd.

I'd settle for a 4th and 5th.

This is what i don't get about trading players for picks. I know it's a contract year and he has injury problems which lowers Byrd's value, but the browns get a first for a very over rated rb which is known to be the easiest position to get quality in later rounds. Here we have arguably one of the top 3 safties and still very young. I feel like you still throw a 2nd or even better for an offer because you would rather be guarantee a player through a trade than letting the decision be made by the player in the off season. Can someone explain more to me so i can understand better?

Safties just aren't valued very high, and neither are RB's, but I think a lot has to do with contract. Someone who trades for Byrd is going to have to make him the highest paid Safety in the league, plus the Bills lose some leverage in him potentially being an UFA next year if they don't tag him again.

The Browns had to eat a lot of guaranteed money with T-Rich, and is under contract this year, and the next 2 at a very reasonable price considering all they owe him is base pay.

2013 - 1.3 mil
2014 - 2.3 mil
2015 - 3.2 mil

I just want to reiterate how sad this whole situation has become just over a few extra million dollars. This is the part of the game that I really hate.
