Tajh Boyd is not a first round lock.

Geno Smith was a better prospect and he went 2nd round.

Geno Smith was a better thrower. He was always mentally weak and rattled easily. Tajh Boyd is one ofte toughest SOBs I have seen in a long time. He is also a much better leader. Those 2 things alone make him a better prospect than Geno Smith.
You can't be serious. Laughing

Wouldn't mind using Indys 1st rounder on him. We could then draft Sammy Watkins / Mike Evans with our 1st rounder.

I don't care that Tajh Boyd is tough if he can't throw the ball well. And he's a major project, to say the least. Geno was a much better prospect.

I'm a huge fan of what Geno did at WVU, but your crazy if you can't see that Tahj Boyd is better. He plays in a pro style spread offense has the ability to run and has played in big games without getting stage fright. I wasn't high on Tahj Boyd at the beginning of the season, but the guy has been balling just look at the stats.

How good did he look tonight? I couldn't see the game.

If you guys can't get Teddy or Hundley, I can totally see Mettenberger going to you guys actually. He screams Norv Turner Air Coryell QB.

I'd love to see Mett in Cleveland. He'd fit in there very well and they have a nice team/coaching staff going on there. A team I can root for as well, as I'd love to see Mett be successful.

Just look at the stats? Geno balled out too. He was crazy productive.

But either way, you cannot use "bulk" college stats as a be-all, end-all indicator of NFL success.

Boyd is a borderline first/second round pick. FAR from a first round lock.

I don't. But Tahj did his in a pro style spread offense. Geno did his in an "Dana Holdgerson Air Raid offense with a lot of swings and screens to Tavon Austin offense"; which inflated his stats. That was the main knock on him was that he had talent, but a lot of inflated stats. I think Geno wouldn't even be a top 3 QB this year unless he kept having Baylor games. There are just to many talented QB's that could come out this year.

In no particular order

1. Aaron Murray
2. Teddy Bridgewater
3. Zach Mettenberger
4. Marcus Mariota
5.Tahj Boyd
6. Derek Carr
7. Brett Hundley
8.AJ Mccarron
9. Johnny Manziel

I mean seriously if all these guys come out, there is going to be some serious talent in the NFL next year and for years to come. This draft is just stacked beyond belief.

If we sign a stud #2 CB in free agency we could give Zach an awesome situation. Our ENTIRE draft can be focused on offense to help him.

You guys have the tackles for a Norv Turner offense, so at least you don't need to address that. Gordon would explode in that offense. Another field stretcher would really set the offense off, as would a back that can catch. Got Cameron already. Getting a Floyd type complement would be a great get for them, but an RB who can pound the rock and catch.... that'd really set them off if Mett could play well.

I'm getting tired of people claiming this draft class is "stacked beyond belief" at quarterback. It's not.
