Sapp , i understand he didnt do much of anything but how can they give up spadola so fast .Monday wouldve been a perfect opertunity to see what he has. Instead of wayne chrebet 2.0 this will be danny woodhead 2.0 . He will be a patriot in a week.

I felt a great disturbance in the twittersphere, as if millions of steiny tweets suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced.

... I really doubt we cut Spadola without a reason...

He played well against 2nd and 3rd stringers ... but he also failed to fight for the ball on a couple occasions. IDK jut doubt we let him go without having a good reason to do so.

Who did we replace him with

They did, but Ben Obomanu released was the corresponding move to that.

The Jets added:

David Nelson
Michael Campbell
Mike Goodson

and released/waived:

Ben Obomanu
Ryan Spadola
Ricky Sapp

I don't understand cutting Spadola in light of the fact that Gates is still on the team.

IMO Gates hasn't shown anything positive, either as a Wr or return man

I live in Florida now so I've only seen two games but I don't think Spadola receive much game play. The drop that I remember seemed to come as the result of a good defensive play.

With the Nelson signing this is starting to look like last years turnstile at Wr

We also added Sudfeld and dropped Scott Solomon. Busy week.

Speed!!! It is hard to not continue trying to work with a guy who can fly.
It opens everything up. Granted he needs to catch the ball but a big slow target is more replaceable than a burner.

Spadola ran a 4.40 40 yard dash. He's fast too.

We legit need to add 3 guys next offseason whether its draft or FA. Keep Kerley and Hill and see which guys step up. This is already turning out to be like last year with bad receivers not being able to get open or catch passes.

No!!! Size and speed? Huh it is becoming far too often I am assuming incorrectly.
More crack less alcohol. Or is it less crack more alcohol? Confused

This is kind of ridiculous. These guys that we are picking up off the streets are playing 20-30% of the snaps with absolutely no time to learn the playbook or develop chemistry. This has been happening for the past 2 years now and definitely isn't making it any easier on our qb's.

While it sucks that Spadola is now on the Phins PS rather than our PS, let's not forget the one game he got some time in (against the Pats) he had a bad drop. It was only one play I know, but it's a play he didn't make. I really liked the kid a lot and it's a shame we cut him, but I doubt this will end up becoming a Danny Woodhead situation.
