Meh, he's had one good season in the league. Not sure I'd bother with him. I'd rather just go wth Pyror and draft one next year if he doesn't pan out.

Why not do both. Add Freeman and draft a young QB. Have them compete w/ Pryor, McGloin and Wilson.

Surely there is trade bait there, but best of all someone will rise to the top. The team needs to find a consistent signal caller. No better way than getting a handful and letting them sort it out.

Freeman doesn't strike me as the ideal veteran back-up QB. I'm not sure I want him passing along any of his "knowledge" on how to be an NFL QB on the field or off the field. If we go with a QB in the first round I'd want to start straight away and I'd want a veteran who knows he'll just be a back-up. Freeman has been terrible for most of his NFL career. I'm not sure why we should expect him to suddenly turn it around.

I would cut Flynn and add Freeman in a second. He has talent, and is a good direct replacement for TP. You need to be able to move behind this O-Line (fingers crossed Watson can play and is good).

He touched Dennis Allen's seat before the game.

I would also go after Freeman and work with him the rest of the year and allow the best man to win next year.

Since we're not going anywhere this season, I'd prefer McGloin get those reps but that's just me. He certainly has earned his shot.
This is my sentiment as well. Let's see what we have in Pryor and the young guns before we add yet another stop gap "veteran". We'll more than likely have a new starting quarterback in a year or two, it would be nice to know if we've already found him.

Obvious connection. Pryor's exposure to injury. The presence of Olson. An OL that will be significantly improved by season's end. DMC will probably he back. Freeman could look the better QB to conclude the season because of timing.

Most of it stems from 95.7's tweet that said "Raider Nation is great."

Honestly he should sign with Buffalo. Manuel us gonna be out for 6-8 weeks and they don't have Kolb. Tuel looked overmatched on Thursday.

Do not like the Freeman idea. Let TP figure it out this year and see what happens.

I would sign him and yea cut matt Flynn cut your losses and move on. Freeman has upside still its not like he's 34 years old or anything. No reason to waste a 1st round draft pick next year on a QB, when we have other pressing needs like the OL and DB's and LB's

I too agree with the cut Flynn, sign Freeman to back TP up for this year. Let best man win next year, frees us up to select an impact defensive player in the 1st: Clowney, Nix, Barr etc.

I still like the idea as David Carr brought in cutting Juron Criner. Carr good vet that knows the game, could help out Pryor
