Nothing new there except that your equipment manager won't have to bother flooding the field this time. Laughing

39-14

But lost the one that mattered most... 29-17 right? Wink

I love when people say this. What makes this "Advantage Bears"? Are the Bears impervious to rain? All it means is both teams will have trouble cutting probably. Rain effecting passing games is a myth.

Yes but they played in the game, while Reggie Bush was too busy flipping onto his bed at home.

If you really dont think that its more of a disadvantage for the Saints then it is for the Bears, then good luck.

It definitely is an advantage for the Bears. The Saints, while I think are overall the better team, are also a dome team. We have struggled in the elements and we will again. Now, the defense may fair better this year than in years past, but our offense is probably going to continue to be one dimensional and a finesse one at that.

If we can only pass the ball, and it's raining, well we are going to have a bit more trouble with separation, timing, catching, and footing. I don't believe that's a myth. Games like this give an advantage to a team like the Bears whose identity more of a running game (though they are decently well balanced).

Chicago is going to be really happy that its raining. Especially against a player like sproles, where it'll be harder for him to cut.

This is not to say that the Saints offense is just going to sputter and die, but it will be more difficult than it otherwise would be. I expect a close game, and relatively low scoring. 21-17 Saints.

All i'm seeing is a possibility of AM showers tomorrow. If it's dry, good luck Chicago.

The weather and the home field are only to make this a fair fight guys, remember that. Ruins the integrity of the NFL when you have one team completely dominating the other Wink

Away from the weather debate it'll be interesting to see how our Tackles do against the Bears pass rush.
They've played poorly this year as have our tackles and the one thing you cannot give Drew is plenty of time in the pocket. With Melton done for the year it makes it even more interesting as I don't see the presence in the middle that can disrupt Drew if our Guards play to their potential rather than the garbage they've been producing for most of the year.

More than anything I'd sorely like to get the run game going but against a team whose defensive backs play the run as well as the Bears it'll be tough.

I think just like on Monday: Jimmy and Sproles are going to prove to be the difference makers. We also need whoevers playing in the slot on given plays to have a big day also, since I expect Tillman/Jennings to give the #1/#2 a hard time of things.

Certainly not expecting a win. It's a difficult road trip, but it's more important with regards to playoff implications to get a win this week and a loss in Foxboro rather than the other way around. Of course it'd be great to win both. Laughing Razz

Meh. If its a downpour, yes. If its light rain, it won't have much if any effect.

I can't wait for this game. The Bears fan in 06 were some of the most classless fans I've ever experienced.

And now we have a Bears fan in here posting scores from the 06 game, when we won a Super Bowl in 09, and they haven't won one since 85.

PREACH. Laughing Cool

Kenny Vaccaro is such a stud. To think if we add another good outside linebacker next year.
